Sentell’s Intel: James Coley hit the trail recruiting hard for Georgia football after weekend hire
This Sentell’s Intel rep about Georgia football recruiting has the latest with 4-star WR Travis Smith Jr. The rising senior at Westlake High in Atlanta ranks as the nation’s No. 25 WR and the No. 197 overall prospect for 2025 on the 247Sports Composite. The On3 Industry Ranking has him as the nation’s No. 14 WR and No. 118 overall recruit.

That high school junior is really sharp.
So he had been trending hard toward GA. But then B-Mac's departure dropped us into the rest of the pack?
Then, on the video, he practically pleads for Kirby to hire Terrence Edwards. But Kirby hires Coley -- who of course immediately calls the 5-star WR. Did I get that right?
Whether or not: Travis is a stud. He looks like Marvin Harrison 3.0 -- yet he's only 17 or 18. It'll be great if he and Coley hit it off, and we end the drought on 5-star receivers. Nonetheless, you can't build your coaching staff on just one potential recruit.
In Kirby We Trust
Whoops! Just realized that Oliver Smith is a 4-star not a 5-star -- not sure why I thought that. 14th ranked receiver for 2025
Coley can recruit. That’s why Kirby hired him. See, like ESPN’s Heather, I also have a keen grasp of the obvious. 🫤
