Now the addition of Yurosek makes more sense. Have to belief the staff knew of Spurlin's medical status for a while (I had not learned about it until a few days ago) and that's what triggered the portal transfer.

Not surprised Freeling is running 2nd team. He is the perfect 3rd "swing" OT, spelling both OT's throughout the season, in preparation for him starting at LT next season. Truss didn't come back to not start. I hope he is able to dial up his game at RT from last year. Really feel he is better suited for OG and TRat at RT.

Glad to see MWilliams still taking reps at DE. His pass rush will be needed more at DE than at OLB this year. At his size, he is more likely to be a 4-3 DE at the next level. So honing pass rush moves from the DE position this season will help him more when he transitions to the NFL. Counting on 17 yo JJA for anything more than ST's or spot duty seems extremely premature at this point.

Looking forward to seeing JWalker full time at ILB. He looks to be the best run defending ILB on the team.

IF the roster does not make any DB additions after the spring TP, KJ and ER4 will have to fill critical roles in the secondary. Those 2 guys will have to grow up fast.
