Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Javon Bullard, Tykee Smith moving up NFL draft boards with strong combine workouts
ATHENS — Tykee Smith and Javon Bullard are typical Georgia defensive backs in the sense they operate with a chip on the shoulder.

Let's see:
.. and I used to envy all the dangerous DBs that LSU and FSU produced.
Combine the last three drafts with the upcoming one, and we'll be DBU.
Sorry @MikeGriffith im in a contrarian mood this morning. The headline leads me to believe the article will be about their combine exploits. But outside of Nagy briefly mentioning their 40 times, the article is primarily focused on how well they did at the senior bowl week.
The 40 times were the key --- both sub 4.5 .... it built on what they did at Senior Bowl, which was also big, especially for Tykee who got to play the high safety spot after playing mostly star at UGA
The NFL Draft evaluation process is made up of more than one thing .... but those 40 times were clutch
Honest question. With game tape and GPS technology to determine “game speed”, do the franchises still use one event (combine) to see how fast a player is.
it seems that they would be more interested in what happens on the field rather than a controlled environment when it comes to speed (not quickness)
I know many of the other drills show comparisons to other players and there is also the eye test.
