Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

She doesn't either but she's also very polished in what she says and how she handles herself off the court. The Women's Team has 0 players under the age of 26 and Clark is 22. Yes to needing more experience and maturity.
You didn't recognize the names Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart, A'Ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, or Diana Taurasi? The latest report says the biggest reason she was left off is the US Team didn't want the fan backlash for what was going to be limited playing time and that's a legit reason. Take someone who won't be a distraction.
Lisa Leslie said this back in April….
"She better be on the Olympic team," Leslie told ESPN at the time. "We should not leave the country without her. She's a bona fide baller. There's no doubt she's already one of the best players in the world."
Lisa isn't press but she knows ball.
"I'm excited for the girls that are on the team," Clark said. "I know it's the most competitive team in the world and I know it could have gone either way of me being on the team, me not being on the team. I'm excited for them, gonna be rooting them on to win gold. I was a kid who grew up watching the Olympics, so it'll be fun to watch them.
"I think it just gives you something to work for. It's a dream, hopefully one day I can be there and I think it's just a little more motivation. You remember that and hopefully in four years I can be there."
Where exactly is the controversy?
Also Clark….

I have no doubt that Clark will be an All-Time great player eventually. Right now, she's a rookie and really doesn't deserve a spot on the team. Like someone posted above, there isn't a player under 26 years old on the team. She is young and still learning. She will make the next team.
I suspect the committee that made the selections knows a little but about ball also. It is telling that they did not take the obvious path here by going with the greatest fan/press draw, but went with experienced players who do not get nearly the attention Clark is getting right now.
This insistence by the media on using the word "snub" incessantly is an insult to the women who did get selected, in my opinion, as though one of them is undeservedly taking Clark's "spot". The stories should be about the women who will be representing the USA in Paris, like them or not, but not about the ones who will not be there.
Agree. Snubbing is most sports fans not even knowing the names of most of the roster that was selected. Experience is a major factor in the selection - pro experience. That's who the USA will be facing - experienced, pro players - not college kids.
Concur. However, I will bet Clark gets a good deal of talk during the Olympics. Wouldn't be surprised to see her invited by one of the networks to be a guest commentator.
That would be a smart media move to invite her, but it might be in her personal best interest to decline and spend sometime out of the spotlight. She did not ask for all the attention she is getting but she seems to be getting some resentful treatment for it.
I would hope someone is telling her exactly that.
I best remember Todd's affection for Jalen Carter
Yeah that was another Dawg Todd tried to sabotage!
