I know they’re kids (young men actually) but the word committed needs to be dropped and changed to, “eh, maybe.” Go Dawgs!!

a bunch of the online chatter also suggest the buckeyes as a possible landing spot

From now on can we all agree to say a recruit “plans to sign at this time with ….” and not say “committed” until they actually ARE “COMMITTED” [like perhaps when they sign with ….]?

How is he a 5 star in the title and then a 4 star in the caption of the picture?

OSU is pulling out all the monetary stops to ensure that they buy a championship before any NIL rules are instituted. If OSU wants Gibson they will outbid UGA for Gibson.

How many DE's will UGA take this recruiting cycle? Already a commitment from Ikinnagbon and after the Gibson, Bryce Davis, Zion Grady, and Julius Holly offers how many spots are left?

There are a bunch of recruiting service rankings. On Rivals250 Gibson is ranked #151 but is fast rising. Would be nice to get some top State of GA recruits.

Connor Riley wrote the article and as of today he is a 5* according to 247. The caption is a quote from Jeff Sentel referencing On3 and that service still has him as a 4*, as do Rivals and ESPN.

USC maneuvering to get out of games against LSU and Ole Miss, while top recruits are looking for options to play for legitimate National Championship contenders.

Makes you wonder what’s going on sometimes and if you really want this person in the program.

Is it in their background somehow or growing up without the proper support that ensures that your word means something when you give it to someone else?

What changes with some of these guys when they rescind their commitment ?

Is it ego, immaturity a sense of entitlement , rushing a decision and not thinking it through, discovering there are other athletes out there equal to them or all of the above?

This is our future…programs like USC, TOS that have deep pockets will easily entice young impressionable minds with the glitz and glamour dollar signs represent. Kirby & Company have the perfect defence…."Growth and Development" guaranteed by The Dawg Culture which produces individual and TEAM winners……every recruit has one thing in common, the dream of playing at the next level and the fame and fortune that brings……..if you're a kid from podunk blessed with the desire and physical characteristics…….the BEST way to see the dream of "buying Mama a home" come to fruition is to become a DAWG! Commit here and commit there but when the reality of maturity awakens the recruit, they will fight to sign on to start the journey of becoming a DGD! For those 5 star sleepers, there will always be the hope and a pray of the TP.

The young players are learning that as long as you are uncommitted you can field "NIL" offers. The closer you get to signing day the larger the offers will get.

It would be great for UGA to get the best players from the State of GA. But the best players from the State of GA are some of the best in the country and command 6 figure paydays. I see CKS being very selective about who gets paid up front. Unfortunately that means a lot more competition for the best players regardless of where they play HS football.
