Georgia has some football players ranked high, but not enough, and not having Trevor Etienne among the Top 10 backs is a huge oversight

As you said, Mike, they make video games. Nuff said. Go Dawgs!

I don't get EA's whole grading system. A player can be ranked behind a player who has lower scores in the individual skillsets. For example, total up Kelvin Banks' indiividual skill scores and he has 398 points. Total up Tetairoa McMillan's and he has 449. Yet, Banks ranks #13 and McMillan #14. I'm not complaining that Banks is ranked ahead of McMillan (he probably should be), but the scoring doesn't make sense.

Then, some of the grades are really puzzling. Beck is lower than Shedeur Sanders in "Awareness." I get that Sanders had to be aware of his surroundings at all times last year or he would get pancaked, but Beck's superpower is Awareness, if by that they mean reading the defense, going through progressions and decision making.

Georgia players in the top 100 is puzzling, too: Stark, Ratledge, Beck, Mykel Williams, Fairchild, Delp. No disrespect to Fairchild, but he makes the list at #48 and Earnest Greene doesn't make it at all? I'm glad they think so highly of our LG (and I think the world of him, too), but I don't understand how he can be rated leagues better than our Freshman All-American LT.

Rating College Players is actually a very interesting situation especially compared to NFL where you have the very best competing against the very best. Case in point, 3 Georgia QBs: Stafford, Murray, Beck.

Stafford was a "generational" HS recruit and has been one of the Top NFL QBs… BUT his stats at Georgia were only "good", not great. 57% pass pct, 51 TDs to 33 INTs. NFL Superstar but not a college one so how do you come up with that score.

Murray is one of the all time greats for Georgia with 4 fantastic years and over 13,000 yards and 121 TDs to 41 TDs although his Senior year wasn't quite as good as his Junior year. Cumulatively though, wow. However, Murray did not succeed in the NFL at all.

Beck was only the 13th best QB recruit in his class as a mid level 4 star. However, while he doesn't have the cumulative stats of Murray, his season last year was one of the best in the country with nearly 4,000 yards an unbelievable 72% completion rate and 24/6 TD/INT.

It makes for interesting analysis. How would you evaluate someone like Arch Manning? Based on his hype? Based on his 3-star level HS career?

Talent also includes creativity, aptitude and mental power. His comments are subjective at best. So until Beck brings home 2 National Titles, Bennett is the best (UGA). But his opinion matters, to him I guess.

It is probably just another veiled jab at Stetson…….he just can't seem to let it go.

What in the wide world of sports ever did Stetson ever do to you @MikeGriffith ??

"The fact the Bulldogs’ interior defensive linemen and linebackers were overlooked gives co-defensive coordinators Glenn Schumann and newly hired Travaris Robinson one more item to pin on the bulletin board."

I love it when UGA players are disrespected by the media, or in this case, a ratings service. It's solid gold to see the Dawgs bring the pain (CFB championship game with TCU) after having to listen to all the nonsense from people who just love to read their own work or hear their own voice. Keep it up media, but be warned; your favorite team may have to pay the price for it!

    GO DAWGS!

So EA should hand out rankings based on potential (Williams) and from one glorified scrimmage (Etienne)? The belly aching on this site is tiresome

They're selling a product to a national audience, right?

To me, it has value as bulletin board material.

    Go, Dawgs!

Regardless of video game developers opinion, really excited about this LB group. Last check, we had four 5* returning and two 5* incoming FR (HS Rating from On3).
As to the QB synopsis, Stetson Bennett IV has to be the greatest in UGA history. Seen Zeier, Staffford, Greene, and many others up close, all incredibly talented (particularly Stafford), and unquestionably the surrounding talent was nowhere near what Stetson had, but IMO…

    Results Matter!

So by your reasoning JJ McCarthy and Cardelle Jones are better QBs than Stafford
