Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

He needs to be gone. Sorry, in this day and age with the way college football is going and NIL these guys aren't “kids” anymore, they are men. The minute you walk in the door you are a man. You make your own decisions, good or bad. This is the way it should have been all along but people still like to say kids. Nope, if you can enter the military at 18, you are a man. And Rara is several years past 18, he should know better. This isn't a court of law. He had his chance and I actually backed him before, thinking things happen and we don't know the entire truth. Second time and you need to be gone, regardless of facts. He keeps putting himself in bad situations and it affects the team however you want to see it. Kirby preaches accountability, doing the right things, putting yourself in good positions, etc. Rara clearly cannot do that. Rara has more at his disposal with regards to support, help, finances, resources, etc than the normal UGA student does. That cannot be discounted. I don't see a path to bring him back.
This team does not need people like this to be on the team or university.
Kick his ass off the team NOW.
Because, in 2924 and even if you are a male, according to the US Constitution, you are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Suspension was the proper choice, at this time. That said, I believe has worn red and black for the last time. Its best for all to end the relationship. Perhaps, this failure will help Rara change his life for the best, he is fast running out of chances.
I am amazed at all the comments that contain things like "live and learn". "shocked", "sad", "disappointed", "it's a shame", "more to the story", "withholding judgment", etc. I strongly advocated his removal from the team last year simply because he embarrassed the university, his team, all UGA supporters and the SEC. Thomas simply does not possess the character to represent the team and all of DawgNation.
UGA does these people with issues absolutely no favors when they allow the legal system to get the charges dropped or marginalized with zero repercussions. If an athlete in any sport - whether black or white or of any other racial composition - does not want to make the commitment to excel both on and off the field, they have no place on their team, squad or unit in Athens. And to answer someone's burning question, it would seem that most arrests involve black "student-athletes", which i really immaterial.
