Georgia had the No. 1 spot in the preseason AP Poll and the No. 1 spot in the Coaches Poll. So it’s of little surprise that ESPN listed Georgia as the No. 1 in its preseason power rankings.

    While this is exciting and the team (including coaches et al) has clearly earned the right to this pre-season prominence (dominance?), sometimes it feels like the largest dose of "rat poison" we've seen in years, at least before the season starts.

    I'm hoping our Dawgs don't let this get to them too much ... everyone says they ignore it, but both Carson and SBIV have stated in interviews that the media got to them at points. I know everyone appears to think Clemson will be outgunned, but any lack of humbleness will be rapidly exploited by a guy like Dabo.

    I've seen Kirby trying to manage expectations in his own press conferences, but I'd sure like to know what he's telling the team "behind closed doors" to keep them motivated while all these accolades pile high before a game has even been played! 😁
