Bulletin board material: Georgia’s Carson Beck no longer Heisman Trophy favorite
ATHENS — Finally, it seems, Carson Beck has some bulletin board material and perhaps a reason to have a chip on his shoulder.

Apparently Carson wasn’t chasing the money and staying for the coaching, chance to win championships and learning to thrive in a system that sets you up for success! Go Fawgs!
%^#* - Go Dawgs!
Good, **** the Heisman! I want championships all day over a heisman trophy winner.
How can you take anyone seriously anymore from these Pre-Season blow hard reporters putting names on a list when one guy on said list has played in one college football game and therefore he is already a BS Heisman contender
Oooohhhh Plaaaaeeeezzzzzeee
Seriously? Both of these guys are on their third schools?
Ah, college football. The free agency that you have become.
Carson shouldn't need any bulletin board material. That loss to bama in the SEC championship should be enough to drive him this season. Let's go, Beck! Let's GO DAWGS!
GO DAWGS!
BEAT CLEMSON!
Bookmakers manipulate data to insure the house always wins……just like the slots at Harry Reid IAP in Vegas….play and lose…….I'm sticking with what I know, the sure bet is Carson Beck and The Dawgs.
It's a good problem to have, but the Dawgs offense features a great O-line and a stable full of very good running backs.
The strength of the running game may hurt Becks passing numbers. Georgia's offense is so well balanced it will be hard for a QB or RB to win the Heisman.
If Carson puts it in the air to receivers and backs, his numbers should be pretty good. Only way to know is play the game.
I agree with your observation. But it won't necessarily hurt him for the Heisman.
Beck isn't normally thought of as a play-action guy. But he's very capable of running an offense that way. But leaning in that direction more could be incredibly effective: Strong line. Strong arm. Good legs. Endless passing/running options.
Our rushing yards and passing yards could both be up this year. If so, he ought to be given a lot of the credit.
Being really high in the first round of the NFL draft trumps getting the Heisman any time unless getting it also converts to that. A QB getting the Heisman is almost. Like a curse going to the NFL as most of them have been a bust in the pros, not all certainly but allot.
So as an individual getting as high as you can in the first round is much more important. But winning it IS good for school history, a little toward team motivation and a little toward recruiting. Outside of that it’s really just a dusty trophy in a trophy case. In all honesty no sarcasm I’ve never even heard of the two guys over him. Is the guy Gabriel related to Roman Gabriel ?? That’s the only reason that name even registers with me. Go Beck !!! Go Dawgs !!
