UGA versus Clemson

My questions for my fellow Dawgs. In the opener, who will lead the offense in receptions and who will lead the defense in tackles? A lot of picks on both sides of the ball. Will it be Lovette, Bell, Delp or maybe a surprise out of the backfield. Will it be Starks, Aguerno, Allen? What do you say?

I don’t understand someone being upset about ETN being suspended for a game.

Some of this is peoples inner Munson is up with game day approaching. Him sitting with a thin RB room already is only going to enflame the Munsonitis.

And some of it is how much do you need to punish someone? Charges were dropped, he paid a fine and some other stuff. If he was a regular person, that would be the end of it. I spent 20 years in the military dealing with underage drinking and DUIs. You don't need to throw the book at everyone. Each case is separate. I never liked standardized punishments.

No book was thrown at him. He is underage drank an alcoholic beverage and drove. ETN admitted it. Was honest hence 1 game. Sitting next game is not that big a deal. The Administration wants to show they are dealing with alcohol driving issues along with other driving issues.

You all know Clemson has a solid, mature, experienced, talented, developed defense, right?

We're going to need all the offense we can muster including running backs. Losing ETN to a suspension could bite us hard. Of course, it could also provide an opportunity to play a freshman who wouldn't otherwise play and find out the freshman is as great as great can be.

We certainly don't want to be one dimensional and without much of a running game. (I'm not saying we would be without ETN, but that could be the case.)

We simply don't know anything yet.

Yes, but, they have very few 2's and almost zero 3's in that group. We ruined them in 21 and without being able to get a blow those 1's are in for a very uncomfortable afternoon.

Beck is going to smoke clemsux cover d00ds. DL will not be a big factor, Beck gets rid of the ball pretty quick and should be even quicker reading coverage with year starting under his belt.

They gave him the max punishment it sounds like. In the new era of NIL, game suspensions are likely to become major issues. Schools are going to have to take that into consideration moving forward. These automatic punishments are going to need to be reviewed. The power conferences already jumped the shark on professionalism and making college sports all about money. Don't think they can hold on to the old amateurism mentality when it comes to player treatment.

Branson May be more important in pass protection in week one with more carries as the season goes on. I look forward to him bustin up the DB/LB on a blitz.

@CigarDawg I seriously doubt that it'll happen… because I believe the core of Clemson is much better… (however IF IT DID???) SOMETHING like what went down two years ago in the BENZ 2022 college football opener versus Oregon???!!!! THAT WOULD BE JUST FREAKING EPIC!!!!

It's always next man up for the talented Dawgs. One player, other than a QB, normally will not change an outcome. What if ETN never transferred to UGA. I look forward to a good running attack no matter who plays. With Carson's arm, teams cannot load the box to stop the run anymore. Go Dawgs!
