Unlike a lot of other coaches, and players, Stoops is a class act. He could've made excuses that I've heard over and over after their team loses to UGA, but he didnt. Stoops had Kentucky ready to play, and they did, they dominated both LOS the majority of the night. But even on their best day UK still couldn't beat a UGA team playing uninspired football..GoDAWGS!

    close game due to

    1. KY wanted it more

    2. A couple if iffy calls from the refs

3 and probably the most glaring. Poor first contact tackling for the dawgs.

I SOOOOOO agree with this. It's why I'm a fan of Stoops, BVG, and UK overall (when they're not playing UGA!).

I contrast this with Saban. While Saban is without doubt one of the greatest coaches of all time, when Alabama lost, he was (at least his last 5-6 years) one of the quickest to throw his own players under the bus. I don't recall a single post-loss presser where he took the blame EVER

Tough to watch, but what great honorable coaches and two teams that play clean, tough, and "real man" football

I couldn't agree more! And Brock showed in the 1st half why he was recruited, and signed by UGA. He played like the QB we know he is. Luckily the coaches made some adjustments at halftime, and slowed him (and the offense) down considerably in the 2nd half. If not for that, it easily could have been a different outcome for the DAWGS in Lexington. IF UK converts just 1 of their 4 FG's into a TD, just 1.. lol i'm starting to sound like some of the coaches I was criticizing earlier for making excuses after a loss lol
