How many points do we need to spot every team before we decide to seal off the edges? Embarrassing.

Connor, I think you were more than generous with the grades. The only group that should have slept well last night was special teams.

Moral victories and guys playing with "resilience" don't equate to a WIN. I'll take a win over a moral victory any day. And last I checked, football games were 60 minutes, not 20. And 15-20 minutes is about all the time the Dawgs actually played semi-respectful football. Thank gosh for 4th downs, because we would never have been able to mount any kind of comeback without 4 tries to get10 yards. Pathetic.

Georgia’s struggles against Kentucky weren’t an aberration. They were an indication of serious issues, issues that went full-blown as Alabama raced to a 28-0 lead on the Bulldogs. Dawgs were out-coached, out-schemed, out-executed, out-played, and kicked in the teeth the first half. Starting slow wasn't the issue as much as just showing up and playing. We didn't decide to join the game until well past midway in Q3.

Loved seeing the fight at the end, but it wasn't enough. The only thing that did was allow what happened last night to not be a complete embarrassment. The playoff gods may look down on us with a mixed emotion of pity and pride...granting the Dawgs a little light as we try to regroup and move forward.

Cannot overlook first half…….F….. for team overall. ! LBs for UGA are frankly terrible. Bama is better than UGA…face it. They proved it with a very mobile QB… superior to Beck. Smart even bragged on Milroe before the game. I predict UGA will lose 3 games and may not make the playoffs. TX will win the natty in my opinion. Shades of LSU 2019 and Burrow. I am very disappointed in Georgia, a team that is supposed to be elite. Understand that it was a super hostile atmosphere…nonetheless, elite teams find a way to win. Bama did. Vote this down all you want…do not care! It is opinion. Kirby needs to make some changes! Down 28 zip!!! The vaunted Dawgs??? Bama deserved the win….yet again Some say would have been different on UGA home turf? Maybe.

WR's a C? As many dropped passes as they had a D would be a very generous grade forthat group.

Conor, your grade is an F for not giving the whole team an F. There was no phase of that team that was on display last night deserving of anything but an F. The offense lost this game because they turned the ball over and couldn’t stay on the field. Special team a B? Penalty on the first 2 point try, a fumbled punt, a shanked punt and only to kickoffs made the end zone. What game did you watch last night? If you’re giving the offense a C for the comeback then the defense deserves a C because they aided the comeback, BUT that’s all mute because they should have been ready to play and they weren’t.

Based on the NIL with this team, they are the most overpaid SEC squad. Beck needs to get rid of his Lambo and, maybe, his girlfriend.

Kirby has lost this team. They don't get what it takes to become a champion. Too much money, too little character.

stunned and yet I agree with 98% of these.

Stunned because normally you try and paint a rosier picture, but wisely chose not to.

Chambliss? My goodness; why is he even starting for Coach Smart’s defense? With the recruiting chops he has, this is what? The 3rd season Chambliss is on the team, playing 50% or more of defensive snaps? Every Georgia fan KNOWS Chambliss CANNOT set the edge of whichever side he has on, and never has been able to. I can go back 2+ seasons and tell you the ONLY time Chambliss should be taking snaps is in the second half of Georgia games where they are up by 3 scores or more. Chambliss got owned by the same Alabama team last season and the season before! He started every game at OLB in 2023, 14 football games, and he totaled 20 tackles for the entire season!

Allen, Mondon and Wilson got OWNED.

you know who I watched yesterday play Linebacker against Ole Miss? Jamin Dumas-Johnson-he was all over the field for Kentucky on Defense! On the road against the #6 team and top 5 offense in the country, he registered 7 tackles, 3 solo, 1 sack, and 2 TFL.

Kirby Smart’s defense not registering 1 single sack against a running QB and a fairly young and inexperienced O Line says all you need to know!

The offense, man, where do you start?

You CANNOT begin SEC games, on the road or otherwise, sleepwalking until you decide to make adjustments at halftime, praying that your defense has kept it close until the offense can figure out what to do and how to attack.

Georgia has done that in EVERY SINGLE GAME this season, and did it through the first 5 weeks of last season as well(check the tapes) . That, my fellow Dawg fans, is not a one-off. That is an IDENTITY.

And that identity is going to have this team and we fans rooting for and staring at 8-4 and 9-3 seasons until it is no longer their identity.

Those are the cold hard realities about this team as I see them, regardless of whether we are talking about last nights embarrassing performance or the previous weeks performance against lesser talented teams than Alabama.

Thanks, Connor, for the brutally honest grades. Had Georgia somehow miraculously won the game at the end, this terrible report card would still stand as a reflection of its poor performance. That said, being ever the optimist, Georgia still controls its own destiny. Next couple of games will speak volumes about Georgia's identity. Go Dawgs!

This team, Coach Smart’s team, was what I thought they were after that Kentucky game performance. And it had NOTHING to do with playing at Kentucky’s Kroger Field.

    Absolutely NOTHING.

    Here it is, from 9/18:

    Dawgnation

I am going to go out on a limb here, and everyone that has seen my screen name and read my posts over the years know I am a diehard Dawgs all the way-so this isn’t easy for me to post.

I believe the Kentucky game was not a one-off. I believe Coach Smart knew his team was vulnerable on the offensive side of the ball, called by his BFF, Bobo. Coach Smart lost too many offensive weapons to the draft, and didn’t do a great enough job to his standard of replacing them with the 2024 draft class or the 2023 class.

Our Dawgs will go 6-3 the rest of the way-NO WAY I have faith this team will defeat Alabama at their house AT NIGHT the Saturday after next-Jalen Milroe will embarrass us as will our own offense with Bobo’s play calling and lack of imagination and ability to overcome the overall lack of talent AND experience at the skill positions-Carson Beck is not Stetson Bennett or Aaron Murray-at least he hasn’t proven to me that he is.

Furthermore, if the other 2 losses are to Texas at their house and then to UT at home- Georgia will also be left out of the 12 team playoff.

If they are able to defeat Ole Miss on the road, I still do not see a pathway for them as the #3 or #4 team from the SEC.

So a 9-3 season will wrap it up-some will blame injuries or make other excuses-but it won’t matter. The reality will be what it is and there will be no denying it-We are what our record says we are.

And the million dollar question will be this: Who is going to lead Georgia in 2025 at the QB position, and will they even be considered a top 5 preseason team?

You cannot win perennially in today’s game with just having an elite defense. You must have an established QB and weapons at his disposal to go with a good to great defense.

missing out on Manning was one thing-but to have Raiola flip away as well-hurts. As much as we do not want to admit that, it is true.

That is my prediction, remember it here and now, so you can make me eat crow after the Alabama game! I will gladly put on a bib and munch down with no hot sauce.

    Go Dawgs!

I’m going to have to respectfully disagree. I very much believe that TX is overhyped, and that if UGA actually plays like the team they showed they CAN be, we can win out. Whether they do is still to be seen, of course.
