Freshman usage highlights a key difference between Georgia and Alabama at this point

I agree. Why are things like this constantly repeated in every article when something goes bad for Georgia? We all know Griffith is a tenn fan. Most believe Conor is a fan of that team to the west.

There are lots of reasons to work in freshmen where possible but the main one is recruiting. Great players in high school will likely scan or be told about Georgia's history when dealing with new players. As a fan, I heard tons of hype about Ellis Robinson, one of the top recruits in the 24 recruiting class country wide. I have grave concerns he may transfer at the end of the year. Possibly, the same for Frazier.

I feel that Smart hasn't fully transitioned to the psychology of this new NIL era. The best players will only be here three years. They can leave when the reality of sitting on the bench takes them to lows they may never have experienced before.

Just things to consider. I am aware that there is sooo much I don't know

    Thanks for letting me join!

That video and the freshman player robbing Young of a TD, implies a confidence level by Alabama players that Georgia seems to still be groping for. Is that Coach bred or is that Milroe's confidence and talent making everyone around him better

Call that "the Cam Newton effect"

I don't know if all of our freshmen are ready for prime time, but Nate Frazier certainly is. I'm not saying he should start or even get the bulk of the carries. But there is NO WAY he should have been on the bench the entire game Saturday (unless we're not being told everything that's goin on) when even Cash Jones (who did play well) got a chance. It's not like Etienne is all-world, or even all-SEC. Frazier can do some things. Now the other freshmen, it just remains to be seen. But we really, really, REALLY need to start consistently SIGNING (because we recruit them heavily) 5-star wide receivers. Every truly elite program now (Ohio State, Texas, Alabama) has at least one. Even non-elite teams (Auburn, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Florida State, Missouri, Texas A&M) have one. And, as we have seen, those guys ARE making a difference in wins and losses. Take Jeremiah Smith from Ohio State and Ryan Williams from Alabama and neither of those teams is undefeated right now.

Why are people acting like Smart has some aversion to playing freshmen? It's completely oblivious to an abundance of evidence to the contrary.

How Nate Frazier couldn’t have contributed in the Bama game baffles me. We did see what we saw vs. Clemson right? And Coach Smart says he’s improving. May have provided a spark just as he did vs. Clemson.

I’m normally right on with what you post, but it seems that you don’t recognize where you contradict yourself here. Ladd would have fallen right into that camp of what you’re saying is non-elite talent at WR, per his rating and the looks he was getting from other teams, yet he sure did turn out to be one, and spent his whole career at UGA.

On a different note, this article doesn’t live up to its title. What exactly IS the difference as far as freshman use goes? What does it say about the Bummers’ development that they HAVE to play that many freshmen? What does it say about UGA’s belief in the development of its players that it doesn’t?

In the end, we had a (really) bad first twenty minutes, and a bad Offensive call in the last minute of the game. What does it say about us and about Alabama that we could have the kind of garbage showing we did early on and STILL only lose by one TD in the last seconds of the game?

"two NFL players said that you looking at a tape Georgia lost the game lack of discipline poorly coach team Saturday night" -comment made by two former UGA players-

Some people didn't like that I posted what they said, not what I said. Maybe you will like it better if Bill King says it. The forums most respected commenter/contributor -

Bill King-Moving ahead, the Georgia offense needs a better overall plan(coaching) and the defense needs work on fundamentals.(coaching) And the Dawgs have to get out of this slow-starting mode of play.  My comments in parentheses.

Based on a lot of these posts, it is totally obvious that Kirby Smart is the worst coach to have ever won back to back national championships.

It's a shame I can only give your post 1 up vote, particularly the last point you make. It's almost as if any acknowledgement of the existence of the second half has been forbidden.

Its obvious the league has caught up to Georgia . There is NO excuse for 28-0 . Do you think Williams plays in this game for Georgia at 17 other than mop up if at all ? Oh the defense or offense is too complex or so and so has been here longer . Do you think Hurts is ever pulled for Tua or vice versa at Georgia ? The answer to both questions is a definitive NO . Even with Stetson’s gunslinger play we knew he was a winner . Beck doesn’t have leadership qualities and never will . This isn’t just 1 bad game it is a pattern that has went on too long .
