ATHENS — For as bad as the offense looked at times on Saturday for Georgia, it did find some answers in the second half.

Unbelievable. Four turnovers? Five if you count the safety…. Herbstreit has lost it…. When Beck finally got his act together, it was too late. You can't win in the playoffs with such bumbling slow starts, absence of any vocal leadership, and ball control carelessness. Being upset doesn't cut it when you are being paid the obscene amount of money he is. He should have invested his NIL with a good financial advisor instead of his ostentatious Hollywood purchases that probably just alienated his teammates. And fan base, particularly when he chokes on a regular basis in public.

Joel Klatt, I watched your video. I believe that Carson said the exact same words right after he lost against Bama last year in the SECCG due to his own fumble on his goal line. Same problems in that game as in the current game. God gave him another chance and he copied the same mistakes he made the first time. Beck's head is not where it really should be if the goal is a national championship.

Stetson gave up the ball in pressure situations. When you're 30 pts down, you throw caution to the wind and sling it. Carson isn't Stetson, but he isn't the problem. Anyone that can lead you back to even after that 1st half disaster isn't the problem.

NO team is completely and totally invincible. Even Saban had times of failure and some of those were Utter failure. NO there’s No excusing the first half of Dawgs play.

Kirby had won 46 straight regular season games until that one. Lost only the SECCG last year. Won Two back to back Nattys. So what’s my point ?? I don’t think Kirby has forgotten how to win games.

The Bama loss was Extremely disappointing to Any and All real Dawgs fans. It hurts. And all the woulda, shoulda, coulda, won’t erase that game off the books. BUT there is definite Hope for going on to have a successful season. Not just based on how the Offense fought back. But how the Defense did much better dealing with Milroe as compared to the first half.

Albeit very briefly our Dawgs struck some fear into Bama. When we went ahead for the first and only time the cameras panned to DeBoer and he was in shock !! So were the Bama fans. I know it was short lived but it Did show that the Dawgs won’t just roll over and die. MANY teams Would have rolled over and died and the score would be 55-7 or something like that !!

I was Just As disappointed, Just As angry, Just As hurt or any other Dawgs fan. But it’s Far to early to give up on Kirby and our Dawgs. It’s Entirely possible that the Dawgs could regroup and fight their way to the SECCG, face Bama again and beat them !!

I’m a realist to and Yes there are Tons of problems and corrections that Have to happen. But if any HC currently in CFB can do that it’s Kirby Smart !! You don’t win 46 straight regular games by chance !!

Heck after a Huge deficit from the Yes horrendous play in the first half we came within Two plays of over coming all that and getting the W !! DeBoer knows it !! So I encourage Dawgs fans look to the future this season is Far from over. The fat lady ain’t even thinking about singing yet !! Go Dawgs !!

I know we gave up 3 sacks including a safety, but I'm still a little surprised that our berated OLine held up reasonably well in the second half when everyone in the stadium knew we were going to throw the ball with a "mono-threat" QB.

Some troll down voted my comment. Guess they can’t stand the idea that our Dawgs might get better and have a good rest of the season. Either that or a rival fan !! 🤣🤣

Here’s my primary concern: do we have to fall way behind in a game, or struggle mightily on offense, before we ramp up the play calling? Coach Bobo is a much better play caller when we are forced to be more aggressive because we’ve stunk it up on offense to start the game. Let the kids play and have fun right from the get go.

Of course, I have concerns about Carson telegraphing where he’s going to throw the ball. He did it often against Bama. Plus, on at least two of those interceptions, he just threw it into the coverage. On one interception he threw into quadruple coverage. No way, he should make those kinds of mistakes at this point in his career. He’s a very good passer, but needs to read the defense better.
