ATHENS — Georgia knew it needed an outside wide receiver to help its offense. That is why Kirby Smart dipped into the transfer portal and added wide receiver Colbie Young from Miami. Smart is also on record as saying that it believed Young was a good culture fit for Georgia.

Self inflicted pedal digit amputation. Why is our receiving room so weak? We have had great QBs, won championships, thrown a lot of passes? What is the problem?

Maybe Michael 'thriller' Jackson should be getting some looks. Ya brought him in….use him!

Haven't notice MJackson on the field the last 2 games. I thought he was brought in as a returner first then receiver. I am wondering if he found getting on the field at UGA is harder than he thought. Is he one of those guys that will take a redshirt and transfer to preserve his last year of eligibility?

Looks like it’s “Mr. Utility” Dillon Bell to the rescue !! Nothing against Young, but if I have to choose between one of them I’ll take Dillon Bell hands down !!

Losing Young ain’t exactly a booster for Dawgs football but I don’t think it’s gonna hurt that bad either.

Do Two things start throwing to the TEs more. And ramp up to the extreme the amount of practice With The Ones for Tuggle and M. Jackson and that includes blocking. Make it Do Three things, get the score up As Fast and as High as possible and get those guys in vs. Miss. St. !!

Get Em as many real game snaps as possible !! Who knows one or both of them might make a positive reaction to that and be of use to the team effort. May have his name wrong but Heinrich the Really tall and BIG TE. Start training him harder to blocking and throw him passes to !! Don’t know what kind of speed the guy has, but he sure has the Height for contested passes !! He’s what something like 6’7” ??

Just my humble opinion but Kirby needs to not be so shy about using Youth on Offense as he does on Defense !! The Miss. St. game Should be a golden opportunity to test some of these guys out !! There’s No Excuse for a slow start vs this struggling Miss. St. team !! Go Dawgs !!

THere is lots of video on Yurosek passes with Stanford. Not sure why he can't be used here.

My question would be, why are we NOT throwing to Delp? I know he had the fumble but he was our rock coming into this year. I rarely see him on the field and never see him targeted. He didn’t just suddenly get bad. We just went completely away from him.

Nah, I beg to differ. Delp isn't bad, but he's not as good at catching the ball as Luckie. He's missed some passes. Plus, and I think this has held him back, he's put the ball on the ground a couple of times this year. It didn't result in turnovers, but it doesn't help his cause. Luckie is the better pass-catcher. Yurosek might as well be on the scout team.

Pierce Spurlin WAS the 6'7" TE on the roster. He medically retired in the spring. Heinrich is listed on Rivals at 6'4" 225 lb. He is a smaller TE in the LLuckie mold. He was brought in as a receiving TE in need of development to move into a bigger role. He doesn't seem to be close yet or he would be playing more. Even proven Yurosek has been MIA.

There are 2 TE's in the '25 class. They both look like they will move to the top of the TE depth chart pretty quickly. Elyiss Williams is 6'8" and athletic. Ethan Barbour might end up playing WR if he doesn't bulk up from 6'3" 220 lb. He is basically the same size as Colbie Young. He has multiple long TD catches already this season.

Delp needs to step up. He looks to have a confidence problem and a holding on to the ball problem. I would look for him to be more involved vs MS St. Give him a chance to gain some confidence before the big TX game. UGA O operating with a big handicap with no TE receiving weapon. Will need a TE receiving threat down the stretch.
