I will say this, Beck has somewhat played better after the snowman talk stopped. Maybe if him being a 2nd or 3rd round pick, maybe he can play even better. Because the top pick conversation is DONE, and rightfully so.

We struggle when the ball is in the air - both offense and defense. We lost the Alabama game because they won 90% when the ball was in the air - both offense and defense. And today, we struggled again. Offenses are figuring us out: when we are in man to man with safeties down, just throw it up deep. And when we are in zone with safeties back, they run it effectively on us.

My seat belt is buckled and I have got my thick grandpa blinder glasses at the ready…It is going to be U-G-L-Y next weekend @ Texas.

I just pray our Dawgs can keep it within 3 TD’s.

Today’s game was maddening. What is going on with Beck?

The offensive line loses one starter and falls apart?

The defensive secondary for Georgia? NEVER seen a back unit coached by KS this terrible. And I mean, they are AWFUL.

Where is the leadership on this team?

Very simply, you need to be able to pressure the QB rushing four. While it’s easy to blame the secondary, Georgia’s issue begins and ends with a defensive line that cannot get to QB on a consistent basis.

this is what a team looks like when talent is present but leadership is absent

Even though we won, I feel disappointed. I hate say that sort of stuff, but it is the truth.

I'm glad we weren't playing South Carolina today.

I agree with everyone else. This team does not look elite. However, we won the game which is all that is required.

Can we beat Texas? I think we can, but we have to fix substantial problems. It's a tall order. Not impossible, I think.

    Go, Dawgs!

Well @87dawg UGA's former DB coach is 4-1 with Syracuse right now.

Also Connor Riley, I don't get the animus at Carson Beck here. The real story is that he threw the ball 48 times. Quinn Ewers only threw the ball 29 times against Oklahoma. UGA's RBs only got 90 rushing yards at 3.75 per carry. That's why Beck throws it 48 times. By contrast the Texas starting QB got 118 yards on 13 carries against a much better defense.

That and only 3 big plays in the passing game for 51, 31 and 29 yards. The WRs aren't making big plays in the vertical game or getting big yards after the catch. No running game, no big play passing game means your QB has to throw it almost 50 times at under 10 yards per pass.Maybe you can do that in the ACC, Pac-12 and Big 12 but against SEC and even Big 10 defenses that means turnovers. That's not how a pro-style offense, which relies on vertical passing, or a spread offense, which relies on big yards after the catch, is supposed to operate. Carson Beck isn't exactly Tom Brady, but we already knew that. The issue is needing WRs, RBs or TEs capable of making big plays and dominating a defense, and doing so for more than 1 or 2 plays a game. Arian Smith putting up more catches and yards in 6 games this season than in his 4 previous years combined helps but it isn't enough. Meanwhile the running game is even worse than it was last year. No one is close to being on track to equal Daijuan Edwards' 880 yards, and then you had Kendall Milton right there with almost 800 more.

Georgia. Will be fortunate to win any of its remaining games. Defense is terrible! Schumann is sub par? No way will Georgia come close to beating TX! I doubt UGA will make the playoffs?
