In regard to the profoundly strange reversal of the pass interference call, was it mobocracy or perhaps the Vegas mob that turned the trick?

Yes, strange officiating indeed Bill. Good synopsis.

Defense domination=7 sacks, 11 tackles for loss.

When's the last time we've seen that kind of performance?

    I can't remember such a beat down.

I do think Bobo called a good game. Was it 6 or 8 drops by the receivers? If they have an average game catching it, even with Beck's struggles, it's likely a four-score blowout against a very talented team.

We now know what we have when the defense is healthy enough and has all of its parts. looking at the Clemson and Texas game compared to every game in between paints a full picture.

It was a great win, but hopefully one with enough flaws to still help the coaching staff keep their attention, as Kirby said.

This team was good enough against Texas last night. If they get some issues cleaned up, they have a chance to go all the way.

Looks as if a few of those bottles hit some Zebras in the head.. They were seeing targeting and misplacing the ball and every reviewed play went against the Dawgs. But changing the pi calls was the tell . Seems that in the most important games the refs get hysterical blindness.

    PS Tyler Simmons was onside.

    That needed reviewed.

Short yardage execution , dropped passes, receivers route running and some of Beck's decisions will be enough to keep Bobo busy this week.

Do we have any other play we could run besides off tackle on 4th and 1? We're not fooling anyone and not moving them either.

    Nicely done, Bill.

I believe Carson, who would never say this, may have lost confidence in his receivers. It's up to them to catch all catchable balls, and most of the 50/50 balls. It's also up to them to run the correct route, and be in the right place at the right time. Receivers also have to get open. On the television, it's sometimes impossible to see how well the receivers are doing these jobs. What we see is Carson looking mystified and/or dumping the ball off to his final read behind the line of scrimmage. It makes Carson look bad when it's the receiver corps fault.

That said, the 2023 Carson looked better than what we've seen of him this season. In other words, Carson is also "off," but he and the receiving corps have a lot of upside potential. They have the talent. The problems can be fixed. It's partly up to Kirby & Company to make it happen.

Our offense played far from a complete game. They have the capacity for much more. Kirby and Bobo aren't on the field of play.

Imagine the score had our offense clicked like our defense did!

    Go, Dawgs!

Dropping the ball was not just a receiver problem, we also dropped 3 or 4 sure interceptions.

Great point. It really stood out for me watching the replay of the entire game. So many missed opportunities by the secondary too.
