A $250,000 fine may sound massive for Mississippi, but who we kidding-Texas? Far better should the referees kept the ball with GA and added a fan generated unsportmanship q5 yard penalty on top of it.

refs were so bad last night in this game. It can't be Off PI when the defensive player put his hands on the WR first That by definition is Def PI. Rewarding TX by overturning the PI from Def to Off because your fans threw crap on the field was also wrong. The officiating crew needs to be disciplined too.

A comment about the “officials” should have been included if they plan on any action against them at all.
The video review should have been enacted during the game to remove those responsible, especially those responsible for actually hitting people with the objects.

This is about like giving a millionaire a $250 fine and a strongly worded letter.

Fans identified get a tiny slap on the wrist, too, for actions which could have killed someone.

Not impressed with the SEC officials.

    Go, Dawgs!

So in other words, a slap on the wrist. Why not scholarship reductions and recruiting penalties to truly impact the team?

Nor can you keep the receiver from turning around to catch the ball, which is exactly what resulted from his actions!

unfortunately they will pass the penalty on to students that had nothing to do with it. So the struggling student will have to pay a larger junk athletic fee next year
