"So, a No. 9-ranked conference champ (with four conference champs ranked higher) would be seeded ninth, a No. 8-ranked conference champ would be seeded eighth."______ @MikeGriffith
What if....the team was ranked #15, before their Conference Win....and, only moved up to #11 or #12, after the Conference championships, due to others dropping down below the "#12 break line". Which ranking will be used to determine the order. Before....or, after the Conference games?
@BigDawg61 The top-four ranked conference champs will be seeded 1-4. The fifth-highest ranked conference champ — likely the Group of 5 representative — will be seeded where it is ranked in the top 12, or, if ranked outside the top 12, it will be seeded 12th.
👍....that could get very interesting.
Bottom line....with 12 teams in the CFP.…there's no way, we won't get a true Champion. I think. Lol.
I don't see UGA missing a playoff in the foreseeable futue. They are in 10x better shape, than they were, in the early '80's. Kirby Smart, is what you would get, if Vince Dooley & Erk Russell had a baby. Lol
The biggest plus for Georgians, is that there are 4 Universities [min.] that can qualify. Correct me, if I'm wrong....UGA, GaTech, GaSt & GaSo. And, that's just fun...I don't care how you slice it. I can't believe, they wouldn't do this, 30 years ago. Look at all the great games, we missed. Lol
At worst, UGA would have to play 1 cupcake game before playing competitive teams.
