It was more the throat slash that got the penalty than the chomp for Frazier

Exactly. Becaue if the Gators can taunt with the chomp so can we. My niece said it's their thing so they are allowed. I said so if the Dawgs thing was to do a throat slash it would be OK? For years the Gators got away with taunting with the chomp now all can celebrate to an extent.

    Bill,

i think your comment about the self-isolation of Beck speaks voumes to his inability to project leadership. This may be more profound than his lack of mobility, frustration when under duress, and inability to throw any pass which is not straight line (causing frequent defensive tips and never with enough arch to allow successful deep throws). I can only assume that Kirby does not have any faith in his QB backups. If he did, it would have been ideal for Carson to be given a rest for the last 7 minutes of the first half.

The unsportsmanlike penalty on Frazier was for doing a “throat slash”, not for the Gator Chomp.

Bill, I’d say any and all wins over the gators will be celebrated as a student at UGA through the 2000’s.

I feel Beck is the most talented we’ve ever had but, the mental side of the game seems to be a bit much for him.

We've bet the farm on an inconsistent, unreliable Heisman pretender. We keep waiting for him to show up and fulfill his potential. I fear that we have seen it and it's not enough to get us to the NC. Further, I don't think Bobo is helping things. After all, he is the QB coach.

Bobo had a better O line last year. His inability to run and scramble is what he needs but just doesn't have.

When we have a big enough lead, I'd like to see Gunner and Puglisi. They say Puglisi is the real deal.

It wasn't the "Gator Chomp" that earned Nate an unsportsmanlike penalty but the ole "throat slash"…..which evoked memories of the Bama freshman WR with "Kill Everybody" on his eye shadow…oh well, guess that failed to breach the tolerance level of true sportsmanship…though I do digress. Seems the "Gator Chomp" is permissible…. "Hookem Horns", completely all right and doesn't everybody do "a little end zone dance"……IMHO, The Dawgs need a symbolic act that is permissible and strictly reserved for Dawg Nation when celebrating any glorious achievement…..I suggest "The Leg Hike"!

I've updated the reference to Frazier's flag for unsportsmanlike conduct. I didn't see the throat slash, but that certainly would make the penalty understandable. Thanks, everyone.

Bill, yes, for sure the fans are "spoiled" with success. Blame that on Kirby! Ha.

But seriously, something just isn’t there this year with Beck and the team. This was Beck’s third consecutive multi-interception game — and fourth in his past five — after not having any last year, when he threw 24 touchdowns to just six picks. We played most of the game yesterday against a 3rd string QB that went to Yale. I mean, c'mon!? We should have blown these guys away.

Resilience can only take you so far, and I wonder if it will be able to take us to the playoffs if we don't come around and play consistent football. Kirby expects a certain standard, and most of us expect the same thing. We're just not playing to his standard much of the time, and for whatever reason you never know which Georgia Bulldog team and QB will show up. Motivation seems hard to come by.

How bout we just win out and forget the leg hike. But, it’s not a bad idea.

The coaches need to stop the throat cut signals from our players. It is unsportsmanlike. We shouldn't bas our standards on those of others. We need to be the leaders in good sportsmanship.

My theory is that there is a lot of jealousy in envy in the locker room toward Carson because of his NIL deal and his personal behavior and lack of leadership.

if Beck is still the best option in the QB room, then we have some lean seasons ahead.

Take his car keys away until he decides to be a real QB. I can go out and throw interceptions and I'll do it for free.
