I am glad to see him stepping up. I have not been overly impressed with the cornerback play until last weekend. He looks long, lean and goes after ball carriers with seriously bad intentions.

I don't care who plays back there as long as they can play some tight man coverage and quit giving teams WRs 2-3 yards open space making it easy to complete passes.

    …so I guess we know why #1 isn’t playing

That was a nice hit Harris made on the FU WR. For 10 years ago. Unfortunately if a player tries to put a big hit on an opposing player he is likely to get an "unnecessary roughness" or "hitting a defenseless receiver". Harris dodged a bullet there. The ref was so trigger happy to call targeting (reversed) he forgot to call defenseless receiver.

Partially a result of a lack of pass rush but other than 1 INT by KJ and 1 INT by Jackson I do not remember another INT this season. The point is that these DB's aren't close enough in coverage to get their hands on the ball. Had hoped ERIV would have caught on by now. AJ Harris starting for #4 Penn State.
