understand if we lose we have 3 losses, but man it would sting to sit there and watch Tennessee make the playoffs and UGA sit at home, basically being penalized for playing in the SEC Championship game. One way to remedy that though is to win out the season. Hoping these boys found a little extra motivation to get it done. As always, Go Dawgs!

The Dogs need to play our best going forward if we're to win it all, or even make the Nati. The defense's showing yesterday was dismal. Powderpuff effort and execution.

Have to beat GT and then play a great championship game. Then have to hope DAWGS aren’t penalized (like last year) for playing in a championship game. DAWGS vs everybody! Go DAWGS

Mike Griffith is one of the worse things to ever happen to Dawgnation:

Dude- you are not a Dawg fan- never was and never will be. This is just a job for you and you have no allegiance to UGA. I get it; however, your column is strictly for click bait.

You're hoping that they leave UGA out, but the committee will NOT penalize us for playing in the Championship game provided we take care of Tech. Even the simulator gages that we have an 85% chance of making the playoffs with a GT win and SEC loss.

Don't get me wrong, I think we can win in SECCG but anything is possible.

btw- we need new DC or OL coaches- Go Dawgs

Bama and Ole Miss should be automatically disqualified from consideration. 3 defeats and did not make the championship.

FIrst, let's not look ahead any further than Tech. Focus on them.

Beyond that we've been a better team when playing with our backs against the wall, so that should give us enough motivation on December 7th to bring our A game. We can only hope. But we're a very bruised and battered group. Of course, so are most other teams. No excuses. But at least we're not playing Bama again!

I would bet the Dawgs are in a MUST WiN situation as it relates to the playoffs. A 3-loss Georgia team has little chance of moving ahead...unless something unexpected happens in the meantime.

    GO DAWGS!!

I know this isn’t what we want to hear, but based on what we’ve seen from this so-called playoff committee, they will not put a 3 loss Georgia team in the playoffs no matter how close the sec title game loss would be. Georgia should get in whether we win or lose, provided we wreck tech on Friday, but I don’t see it happening.
    Go Dawgs! Wreck tech!

I am seriously hoping you tagged me by accident otherwise, holy smokes, what a $tupid, $tupid comment.
To call someone “bandwagon” for wanting wins? If you actually meant to tag me, may want to use a dictionary (that is reference material that defines words) and understand the meaning of the term “bandwagon” and how to use it properly with zero knowledge about the person you are calling.

    Geez, what a $tupid comment.

@MikeGriffith a little presumption stating the power 4 are automatic qualifiers for the CFP. It’s actually the 5 highest ranked conference champions. It’s very possible that the mountain west could be ranked higher than the big 12 or even the future PAC be higher. There are no conference names attached to auto qualifying. Now the realities are that the big boys SHOULD ALWAYS be included.

It was by accident, dont know how that happened. So, it's ok for him to criticize, but it's wrong when someone criticizes him? Sorry, doesn't work that way.

I don’t see why we have such doom and gloom. We beat Texas before and I think we would have a great shot to do it again and I think we can beat a&m also. Let’s welcome the opportunity. Go Dawgs!

Ummm, they left us out last year when our only loss was a close one in the SECCG… so saying they won’t leave us out this year goes against immediate past experience, unfortunately. This is why Kiffin and other SEC coaches have been saying playing in the SECCG is not desirable. It stinks, but the committee absolutely does penalize the losers of conference championship games.
