Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

The bottom line: The CFP Committee cannot be trusted. They clearly have an anti-SEC bias and a pro-Big 10 bias. The Dawgs need to win out to get in the playoffs.
Yep. Agree. This year the Committee is putting more emphasis on wins/losses, strength of schedule only nominal emphasis. Lol next year they’ll flip it to more on strength of schedule !! Dawgs have a ton of cupcakes next year.
The best thing our Dawgs can do is just Win each game. I hope the coaches and players are totally fixated on beating GT. One game at a time, eyes on the prize by going one game at a time. Go Dawgs !!
@1SICemDAWGS1-…And you must be Mike's son or close relative.
Agree totally. No way that Any school’s AD should be the Chairman of the Committee. It should be composed of people that are as neutral as humanly possible. But the Michigan AD ??!!?? Nah !!! That just shouldn’t be !! In fairness it wouldn’t be right if it was UGA’s AD. For two years in a row this “Committee” has been a joke in bad taste.
The committee was not factoring in conference championship game losses when the possibility of Alabama losing a CCG was a factor. Now that AL is out of that scenario watch how fast the committe changes their tune. UGA will be in trouble should it lose the SECCG.
UGA needs to come out of the GT game healthy and get healthy for the SECCG. Someone wrote that avoiding the SECCG was a smart move. AL, MS, aTm all losing on the same weekend would seem to confirm that.
If that ESPN projection of the next rankings is accurate, then it pretty much does away with any debate about the committee's bias.
Georgia lost a second game by 18 against one of the best teams in the conference, and dropped 9 spots.
Bama loses a third game by 21 against one of the worst teams in the conference, and only drops 5 spots?
Un freaking believable.
What? I get that the call-out was by accident so all good there. It happens.
But to be clear, I wasn’t questioning anything about questioning the article. It was the calling me bandwagon when I had nothing to do with that post.
All is well….
So they all went ahead and lost a third game on purpose to avoid the future possibility of being punished for losing a third game?
dawgs conference schedule is exactly the same in 25. Just doesn’t start with Clemson
Pretty laughable system when if either BAMA or OLe Miss wins yesterday, UGA 100% is in the playoff provided we beat Tech. BUt because both lost , "Oh wait, UGA will be in if it can win the SECG!" We just got added another degree of difficulty. Some reward. However, should we lose for the honor of playing an additional game then either Tenn or BAMA gets to go???? THe reward, is actualy no reward at all. THanks Sankey! THanks dufus's controlling the selection. You think the loser of the ORegon -Ohio St game is going to miss the playoffs? AH-uh.
The Committee will just watch the SEC cannibalize itself every year now and allow the Big 10 best teams play 1-2 tough games a year. THe other crazy thing is we could lose to Tech now and it absolutely doesn't matter as long as we win the SEC, we're in as a 3 loss team. We lose to the team we pretty much manhandled on their own field and it's see ya next season, even if it's a close game.
Or consider this possiblity. We beat Texas ,if they make it, for the 2d time and then they still get in and at some point we face them a 3rd time. Will fans outside of UGA nad Texas be drawn to a 3rd game between us? And then consider this: we beat them twice and if we face them in the final and they beat us once, they're the NC. Pretty Crazy!
HOw hard is it to beat a really good team 3 times the same season? Piece of cake, right? We may find out.
If you saw Kiffin's play calling down the stretch you'd have to wonder. Only in bizzarro world does Alabama only score 3 pts. AL scored 28 on UGA in the 1st Q! Alabama is in w/3 losses. UGA beating GT Friday and not playing in the SECCG would've been in w/2 losses. UGA is not in w/3 losses.
