Man I sure hope our Dawgs beat TX !! This is even more incentive !! Dawgs had By Far the toughest schedule in the SEC and for that matter CFB.

Hopefully this is voted on after the SECCG. If they Don’t select Kirby I could see Beamer getting it as he Has done pretty well with the GameCocks this year. Go Dawgs !!

COTY should be Beamer but I can see it being Sarks if he wins this weekend.

It absolutely shouldn’t come a thousand miles within Tuscaloosa.

FWIW I don’t think it should be Kirby this year. We haven’t had the best coaching performances a few times. We haven’t overcome insurmountable odds this season. If anything we’ve underperformed.

Looking forward to this game. Anxious, but I've been anxious about every game since Kentucky…

In the end, what I really don't want is to play TX a third time (unless, of course, we have to because things don't go well this Saturday). I just don't think it'd make for a very interesting game.

If we win on Saturday, I still don't see Coach Smart winning the Coach of the Year award. He didn't win it when we won every single game (the idea being that he did exactly what he was supposed to do with the program and roster he'd built, so was undeserving of an award), so no way would he get it this year. More than any coach in the SEC, Beamer deserves it this year. He's brought that program out of the slums, and didn't just do it with mercenaries like Lane Kiffin did.

Speaking of Kiffin, that dude needs to get a second job as the manager for a pro wrestling heel (a la Jimmy Heart). He's such a perfect fit for that role. While I'm on board with much of his tweet above (do we still call them that, now that twitter is X?), I don't agree with his point about wins "handed by replay officials." If the replay officials saw a thing that happened, and that thing ACTUALLY happened, then the win wasn't handed; the win was earned. In fact, if the replay officials hadn't noticed it, the legitimate win would have been stolen.

So sick of the spewing that texas is the best team. They played nobody all season with the exception of one game and they got their rears handed to them in that game. Don't give me the nonsense that they are playing better because they still played no one.

    …."best team in the SEC".

Good grief, I want to shut this nonsense up, once and for all. I want Arch Manning saying, "Dang, I could have been a part of that."

I'm surprised to not see Napier in the COY conversation. Cases could be made for him, Beamer, Heupel, Lea and Sark. But I'd put Napier and Beamer at the top because their teams were playing so much better at the end of the season.
