Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Column: Why the SEC Championship game will always matter
ATHENS — Don’t bother explaining to Kirby Smart why the SEC Championship game doesn’t mean as much in a 12-team College Football Playoff era.

Connor,
I got a distinct lump in my throat reading this piece today. It caused me also to go back to your article prior to the 2020 Alabama game when you first imparted your deep friendship with Jackson. I am now in my 8th decade but can affirm for you those rare and deeply felt memories of those you love will always be cherished. Thank you for sharing this important friendship.
Of course I didn't know Jackson at all, but your palpable love for him is very evident in your article. God bless him and you. Be thankful for the great times y'all shared and for all the wonderful memories you'll have of him in the future. Let's all hope you can send him a "VICTORY" message Saturday night!! GO DAWGS
Conner,
What a well written and thoughtful article you penned in honor of your dear friend Jackson. I appreciate the depth of such a friendship, and I truly hope that the Dawgs will give you a happy moment on the field after the game is over, standing in a drift of red and black confetti and toasting to Jackson, great memories, and 'HOW BOUT THEM DAWGS"!
Losing a close friend, especially at such a young age, is a difficult thing. Thanks for sharing about your friend.
From a football perspective, I sort of like where Tennessee sits. No game this week and a guaranteed playoff spot. Of course, a Dawgs’ win would put us in a very nice playoff position. A Dawgs’ loss puts us in a very difficult position.
Go Dawgs! We need this one!
