Georgia SEC Championship game win gives players a lot more than just rest: ‘I wanted this one bad’
ATLANTA — The last time Trevor Etienne played in a December football game, his Florida team lost 30-3 to Oregon State in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Good for the the guys! They deserve it
Random thoughts after restarting my heart:
Great to see that big smile from Etienne :-) And his comments and deportment after the game and in interviews were a credit to UGA. Seems like a good egg.
That defense, when healthy, figures out a way to get it done.
Starting to truly believe that Tate Ratledge is the leader (and key) on the offensive side of the ball. When he and Oscar Delp photobombed Gunner's post-game, on-field interview with "he's Rabun County!!!" (or words to that effect), I was grinning ear-to-ear. That's State of Georgia football, baby! (from a dude in metro ATL)
Hope Carson is OK. But I'm more than fine with Gunner. A TD on his first drive - have we done that once this year? I've had it with crappy first-half offensive football. I'm tired of "superman" second halves because of the holes we dig ourselves into in the first. I'm tired of the spot it puts the defense in. I'm tired of arguing about dropped balls. I'm tired of excuses.
Get rested and healthy, guys. And congratulations on an SEC championship. Find a way!
I agree BigFan. To add to that, I’m tired of plays being called on third and three or four and throwing behind the line of scrimmage and leaving it to the receiver to hope he gets blocks and can pick up the needed yardage. Bobo, for Gods sake, please dial up plays that’s puts the throw past the sticks. We’re going to be playing the big boys from here on out. They can smell that play 20 yards away! Very proud of this team though! Hope my heart can make it through these playoffs! Go Dawgs!
Another thriller. Rest will be wonderful but introducing some different type plays on occasion might make us a little less predictable. Bend not break Defense was isolid once they settled down. Hate to see opponents double the possession time , kinda makes the D effort that much more impressive
Great game and happy for the guys and especially Etienne. What a work horse and to see his joy and listen to his words reminds me of how much fun college football is. Loved how he quoted Gabriel and had internalized that sentiment. He has become a DGD and now rest up for the next part of the journey. Go DAWGS!
Etienne said he came to UGA to win championships….he was instrumental in this one. Yes, "we are chasing memories." Gabriel. Now Dawgs…rest! Heal! Then on to the CHASE again! God is blessing this team..truth!
