    I like Jeff, but he comes across as very naive saying that the idea of expanding the playoff was supposed to be to ensure high quality matchups. In fact, the exact opposite is true. The whole point of playoff expansion, by the very definition of the concept, was to include lesser teams/programs that have little to no business playing for a title.

    This is what everyone insisted for years the game needed. And now that it's here, people are already wondering why it's so lame.

    Zachariah Branch is a gadget guy? I looked up what he's capable of on a football field and it's pretty awesome. He makes defenders tackle air. I had a friend in high school named Bo Howell who could run the length of the field without even being touched because he was able to seemingly defy physics with his moves. That's what Branch reminds me of.
