- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Todd Hartley shares how Brock Bowers still makes an impact at Georgia after historic rookie season
NEW ORLEANS — Brock Bowers was somehow better than advertised as a rookie.

I used to ask my mother why don't the flowers in her garden bloom all the time? She told me we wouldn't appreciate them as much. I guess the same goes for being able to watch Brock Bowers play in Sanford Stadium. Although we all miss him playing for the Dawgs, I guess we can't have him forever—it seemed like it passed in the blink of an eye—sadly enough.
Bowers is such a special player and person. Wishing him continued success in the pros! DGD!!
Brock Bowers' name still echoes through the halls of UGA footballdom. He is the best receiver Georgia has ever produced. I recall saying to family and friends you can count on Brock to dig UGA out of a hole every time.
I think Z. Branch shadows Brock in some ways with his explosiveness and great hands. No, he is not a Bowers per se,but he seems to possess that power, speed and instinct characteristic of the great receivers. We shall see.
I don’t think we can expect that out of branch. Very fast, but only 5’9 and 175. His stats are very average for 24 season, but acknowledge USC was a dumpster fire. he will project as slot receiver to maybe replace Lovett’s production, and hopefully provide some life to punt returns. After reading articles on the web about him, he didn’t progress as much as usc fans thought he would in sophomore season. Let’s hope it was sophomore jinx, but don’t expect him to be the elite receiver who can take over a game like the kid at Ohio State. Our best chance for that is probably Talyn Taylor in the incoming class. Hope he comes in physically ready to play.
Zachariah is not known for great hands.
Hartley for OC!
Brock Bowers was a great college player and appears headed for even more stardom as a pro. I'm not the least bit surprised. Good for him. What makes Bowers great — and why I'm skeptical anyone else at UGA will approach his greatness — is not only his physical talent, but his work ethic, character and attitude exceeded his talent. Brock didn't just SAY the right things, he DID the right things. Every game. Every snap. Every practice. Every schoolwork assignment. Most players just don't have that combination of physical talent, internal drive and strength of character. Brock Bowers is successful because he never stops to rest on his laurels. He is always looking to get better and he is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal.
He should have won the Mackey Award THREE times. The freshman year outcome was a joke.
