Return of Christen Miller should make a real difference for Georgia defense in 2025
ATHENS — There’s been a ton of news regarding the 2025 Georgia roster, what with players leaving for the draft, entering the transfer portal or electing to remain with the Bulldogs.

thx for returning. I think we are going to need more than him on D line to be effective at stopping other teams
not a Christian miller comment. But something Connor wrote He mention losing the last game. And it dawned on me that with the expanded playoff. A below average season would leave you out of the playoffs and we would be bummed. And now with 12 maybe more in future playoffs. If it’s not winning a natty, the last game will be a loss.
PLEASE Forgive my off topic but it’s important. Yall probably already know about this but Please lift prayers for LSU Freshman QB Colin Hurley who was found unresponsive but still breathing in a car crash by law enforcement.
Though they are a rival school numerous schools prayed and offered well wishes when UGA had its Terrible tragedy a few years back. We are Dawg Nation, we are Class. Thank You !

Agree. Like you Im very glad Miller returned, but I to am very concerned about our Defensive front. Actually I’m very concerned about the trenches on Both sides of the ball.
Dawgs need more help in many areas. I don’t know what the picture will look like as far as staying under the limit for scholarship players, 85 right ?? But in April Kirby needs to hit the TP hard. Get the very best guys he can get for the O and D line first imho.
Then both inside and outside LBs. Looks like the Secondary is in pretty good shape. Time will tell but Now we seem to be better off at WR that is considering the guys leaving. To the best of my knowledge Unless they declare in April we still have both the Robinsons at RB. Both of those guys are bulldozers. They can push the pile to get short yards on 4th down plays and goal line plays, and can also be used to help batter the rival D Line.
Coupled with Frazier, Bowen, Cash, Phillips, Walker (am I missing anyone ?) we should be at least decent at RB. And if our back is against the wall we could move Bell over to RB. I don’t know but what I wouldn’t play Bell in the backfield Some regardless as he can catch the ball ( though I know 2024 was not one of his best years) plus Stockton having wheels should help.
So after all this For Me it boils down to being the most concerned about Both sides of the ball in the trenches. I don’t know what kind of quality we might have among the non-scholarship players but might want to start grooming the best of those up some more regarding the trenches. I’m curious what if any we’ll learn from G Day ? Do I sound like I’m already ready for the 2025 season ? 🤣 Go Dawgs !!
Don't get me wrong, CMiller is a good player with room to develop. But one guy does not a DL make. Unless he is JCarter. That is probably too much to expect. Especially from a guy that has spent time injured in each of his 2 years at UGA. But glad to have him back.
Young Dawg DL will need to grow up fast next season.
Getting DL and other defensive positions seems pretty easy with Smart being such a well known defensive coach. We need to find someone that can generate the same excitement on the offensive side of the ball. For 2025 class, we have the #15 and #54 best OTs. That's pretty weak considering our program. Tennessee grabbed #1. Bama got #4 and #9. GA Tech grabbed #5 who was from Georgia (how did they win THAT battle?). Oklahoma #3 and #12. To win games, we need to win the recruiting side for players like this.
Inexperienced D-line and O-line next year and we're 2nd best bet to win the Natty? That made me chuckle.
