Georgia basketball squanders 12-point halftime lead, falls 68-65 at Arkansas
A second half collapse lost Georgia basketball its third straight game for the first time this season, a 68-65 defeat at Arkansas.

Pathetic performance vs a team they should have beaten by double digits. This is the type of bad loss that keeps teams out of the tournament. Three straight losses will turn into four this Saturday. I guess getting into the top 25 was what this team wanted because they haven’t won since. This is why I don’t get my hopes up for Georgia basketball. I’ll always pull for them, just won’t believe anything they can do until it actually happens.
Refs were horrible but Cal made adjustments at half & Mike White once again showed he’s incapable. One day soon Josh Brooks is going to have to explain why he hired a guy who was run out of town by the Gators.
Ugh. Bad loss on the resume.
Same old ****!!
Starting to look like typical UGA basketball of the past..
Not shooting well from the outside.
NIT here we come!
No matter who the coach is, the UGA basketball tradition of wilting in the second half is alive and well. Looks like we will have another opportunity for a deep NIT run. Maybe we can hang a banner in the gym commemorating our one week stay in the AP top 25 for the first time in over a decade.
"Hey, we're up by 15, we've got this one in the bag so we don't have to play defense or rebound anymore." Went to bed thinking this is typical Georgia basketball! No wonder they kicked our a@s out of the top 25.
Man, this is so crushing. Every time I get my hopes up for a basketball team, they lose to a team they should easily beat and need to beat. I know its on the road and it is tough to win on the road, but Arkansas is a team without their best player, haven't won a single SEC game, and are reeling. DAWGS dominate for the first 16-minutes and then you could see the foundation get shaky right before the half and the decline continued after that. Rinse and repeat.
Would love for a program other than football to give me something to get excited about. Baseball needs to show consistency after last year's great run to fill that void, but so many other SEC schools have solid football, men's basketball, and baseball and for some reason, UGA continues to struggle.
Apologies; rant over.
Giving up so many offensive rebounds to a team no taller is pathetic… and on the coaching. For that matter, one can argue so many missed free throws is on coaching. And of course the difference between winning and losing, this week and last. Go Dawgs!
Is this a rerun, deja vu or a broken record?
Same story almost every year.
Pre-SEC schedule….going good.
SEC schedule hits and losing begins. Now to
a team that was the worst in the league.
I surrender…
I dared to get my hopes up just a bit for this team after some solid wins following our annual pre-SEC run through the smaller schools. Read about how Arkansas was down and this was our opportunity to get a much-needed win… and almost immediately knew we’d blow it. Should’ve stuck with that hunch.
I hadn’t even realized Coach C was at Arkansas now so that gave me more pause. Then after watching a few minutes of the first half with Georgia getting the lead, I for some inexplicable reason allowed myself to feel just a bit confident we’d get the W. Should’ve know better.
Dadgum!! Thats more than .5 ft/minute…
