Who cares about these rankings and opinions. The bottom line is stack up the W’s in ‘25 and they will all shut up.

Nobody's a bigger Dawg than I am, a third generation grad. That said, it is very logical why Texas ended up ahead of Georgia. They survived longer in the CFP and actually played OSU, the national champions very well. Georgia was more inconsistent all year long than a Forrest Gump box of chocolates…. Our program has slid a big each year since 2021 to the point where we will be exposed and kicked out of the group of elites next year due to incompetent and complacent coaches. In addition, even though our recruitment every year is rated top 3, we are missing out on the real playmakers like the Caleb Downs and Jeremiah Smiths of the world. We made a big mistake paying so much to Beck to hang around when he had absolutely zero leadership ability. I love Smart, but he needs to do a complete standdown, analyze his staff, and refrain from future hirings through the Friends and Family program if UGA is to hope to remain a contender each year. We are truly at a crossroad.

THe relentless pursuit of excellence. That's what it takes to win a NC along with a good dose of everything coming together at the right time. All the stars lining up we might say.

However, when everything gets to be "old home week", then there is no way you make decisions without factoring in relationships. For example: when a certain coach on your staff is performing OK, they're not bad by any means, but they're just not coaching at an elite level, but they're one of your best friends. Your wife and his wife go to yoga classes together every week, your kids and his have spend the night parties together , and such. What do you do? You'd really have to be cut-throat to fire him. Just say'n.

I think CKS is a good person. at least that's the vibe I get from him, unlike perhaps his mentor. BUt that's unfair considering I'm not a BAMA fan. In the end CKS may just opt out of winning at all cost and be someone who values friendships over NC's. And who could fought a man for that? HIs predecessor at UGA was such a man. And regardless of his never winning a NC, he seems to be liked, (no loved) by all who know him.

Here is where UGA ranks: State of Georgia champion. SEC champion. If you don't finish #1 it doesn't matter where you finish nationally. I'll take the Georgia and SEC titles and be happy.

Texas lost to us twice and nobody with an IQ over 45 would rank them higher than the Dawgs.

The Dawgs won but often not by domination. There were games that we could have easily lost and games we did not show up in until the second half. Our offense sputtered, had difficulty with both the run and pass game. So, being #6 is not actually a poor rating for the 2024 edition. And the press loves the Texas hype, the Arch Manning stuff, we're gonna have to tolerate that for a couple of. years. Texas actually had a pretty good defense and as someone has said earlier gave OSU a good game. How you are playing at the end of the season gives more weight. We struggled with Tech and ND. How did we beat TX twice, we got psyched up for those games. So, #6 is a fair placement for this team.

”Our program has slid each year since 2021…”

    2022 UGA 15-0

    Just saying…

Georgia has finished #7 or higher in the AP poll for eight consecutive years.

For comparison, Tennessee has done it eight times since 1970.
