Georgia basketball has shot at strong second half if players start making them

ATHENS — Georgia basketball is fine, it just needs to start making more shots.

Last night I commented by wondering how Mike Griffith would sugar coat that loss. You said it Mike, they’ve lost 5 out of 6, but it’s how they’ve lost. Yes they played auburn tough, but that was at home. The blown out losses on the road to fla, tenn, and bama are not the makings of an ncaa tournament team. Those type teams play closer games than getting blown out. The Arkansas loss was pathetic. The rest of the schedule is more favorable, but how many of those will they blow that they should win and will they get any sec road game victories? Mike, you said before that White likes this team. Good, I’m glad he does, but a coach liking a team doesn’t equal victories. It’s more and more obvious why fla ran him off. I just hope that the Georgia athletics department will have the desire to hire a qualified winning head basketball coach in both men’s and women’s sometime in my lifetime. It’s obvious they don’t have those now. Making the tournament or getting ranked should not be the goal. Reaching the final four should be the goal, but until the right coach is needed for that.
Strong second half and Mediocre Mike should never be used in a sentence together. Another exceptional second half adjustment against Bama, Coach White. If consistency is 4 SEC road games and 4 consecutive double digit losses, you are very consistent. Looking forward to our boys making another strong NIT run….
@david1. Perfectly said.
Both games are must wins this week. And at home so no excuses. If they don’t go 2-0 then season is done. And the Mike White experiment will soon be as well
