Well, a 5 star recruit (Hall) being as good as a 3 star recruit (Davis) doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. 🤷♂️
Well, having Georgia's defensive line in the super bowl should tell you what Trey Scott can do. If these guys keep chopping wood, they'll be outstanding. The Freshmen should get plenty of touches as well.
The biggest question for UGA on the DL is who will play NT. Jamal Jarrett was the heir apparent until he transferred. Now UGA only has one guy that fits the profile of a typical UGA NT. That is Ogboko. After that? No one else on the current roster fits the size profile that UGA likes. I have seen a roster where Nasir Johnson is listed as 6'6" 340 lbs. But I have also seen a roster where he is 6'5" and 295 lbs. Looks like he will be in the 2 deep NT rotation unless UGA goes to the TP for another NT in the spring. Little to no experience at the position.
McCloud flashed some potential late in the season. He seems to move pretty well. JHall? Looked like he was trying to play hurt last year. As a freshman he looked like he could develop into a good player. Last year? Not so much. I thought Hall might be able to play NT but a NT has to anchor with a solid base and strength. With his leg injuries in '24 he didn't seem to have solid legs under him.
