Wouldn’t it be AWESOME to see on a Consistent basis Dawgs WRs getting good separation from defenders, running polished routes, and Catching the ball, Even contested throws ??!!?? I’m Believing it Can happen, I just hope it Will happen.
Provided our O Line gives him adequate protection I Believe Gunner can get decent passes to the WRs. But they’ve Got to get open and Fast. Then if it’s reasonably catchable, follow through and Make the play.
Gunner can buy a little time with his feet, but our WRs have Got to get open for him and make Every effort to catch the ball even the contested throws. I just don’t believe that the WRs unit at a school like UGA can stay in a downward trend for long. We’ll see…….P.S. Would be nice to see Colbie Young rejoin the unit now that his legal issues have been finalized, at least as I understand it they have.
@navydawg from one hellback to another, thank you for your service sir. I also agree that our season hinges on good OL play and the WR group stepping up. I also think the defense needs to take this season personal as they got bullied in a couple of games by some teams that in my opinion were not in their class. I am sure that coach Smart will take care of that.
