Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans

- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum

- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I mentioned this earlier on a different blog that we shouldn’t spend too much time grieving the loss of Bowman and focus more on Prothro. He’s a Georgia boy and won’t bust the bank like Bowman did at USC. I realize Prothro is the #3 TE on the 247 Composite, but so was the case in 2021 with a guy named Brock Bowers who only had 4-stars (Prothro has 5). BTW, the 2 TEs rated higher than Bowers in ‘21 were Jake Briningstool (Clemson) and Thomas Fidone (Nebraska). I think we did pretty well with getting the 3rd best recruit that year. Go Dawgs!!!

You make a great point BubbaBill…..it ain't the stars in the halo but the stars in the desire to be the best….and Todd Hartley is the coach that consistently develops the best TE's in America and The Dawg Culture provides the environment…if you're only chasing stars in your bank account….Georgia ain't your pick…..There's a guy over in Irmo, SC that's 6'6" 230 named Julian Walker…..he's listed as an edge but I'll bet he can catch and I sure as hell know he can block…..there's a 4 star TE from Illinois that's 6'6", 230 that's getting interest from Auburn, Ole Miss and Ark…..I bet he'd fit right in at Georgia….There are "Brock Bowers" out there…..as Mark Twain said, "It's not the size of DAWG in the fight, it's the size of fight in the DAWG that matters"…!
