imageTexas puts on a show: Arch Manning’s ironic Steve Spurrier comment raises eyebrows

"We want to develope our players and make sure they are not here for the money"

Simultaneously throws $50m+ at them 💀. Just GIVING them the opportunity to be there specifically for the money, I love Kirbys quote "we sell relationships not transactions"... THAT'S OUR COACH and a big reason he's currently the best in the sport. Really I don't hate the kid, he can't help what he was born into (the hype) but we saw what he could do last year against a fueled, gassed up and on a mission Georgia defense. And that was coming out of the half... AT home against the biggest name in the sport and he laid an absolute ****. I guess I honestly just expected more with how much Texas fans been hyping him up. About like they're hyping up UNINKED 5*s with a whole football season + to change their minds and be offered more from another school (which will happen more and more until they fix this ridiculous NIL payscale). Unless they pull a miracle 180 with him, I don't see it being what everyone thinks... and that starts with @ Ohio st. Not saying he won't come out and win the Heisman, win big games, make the playoffs Etc. Etc... I just think that if he was gonna be the one… it would've been in that game. Either way it's 0-2 and it's 🤘⬇️

    GO DAWGS 🔴🐾⚫️

P.S The Lambo on the left is quite literally the ugliest Lambo I've seen... ever. If you're gonna spend that kind of money... at least get ones look good.

Paying players is one thing, but not regulating the sport is just short sighted. Every team should be operating with the same budget. Kirby believes in rewarding the guys that have contributed to the program meaning we better get use to losing recruiting battles in the future.

I agree with this comment. I guess the House settlement won’t rein in the big money teams hungry to win a championship any way they can do it. It is unsustainable. Buying players in this way taints every championship that is won while using this tactic to win recruits. Just put an “asterisk” beside their name in the record books.

based on some of the recent driving debacles at UGA, perhaps we should be showing them cars with limited speed capability? Actually the whole darn thing is screwed up when college football becomes a bidding war. Not so sure I wouldn't opt for three and four star young folks that are interested in education and showing some loyalty to the program.

"We only have so much money to go around" Sarkisian said on Tuesday. Is he trying to make a joke or is he smoke screening the fact that his University is, by far, the richest in the land. I've said it before and I'll say it again—no University in this land can compare with the Longhorns financially. We just lost two great players because of this disparity.

Incoming freshman should not get anything but a set stipend.

I hope the Dawgs D can get to Manning hard and often we they come to Athens !! And TX might have the $$ but I bet you’ll see KS coached players drafted higher than TX players. There’s a ton of Truth in what Kirby said about building relationships instead of transactional !! Go Dawgs !!
