Looks to me like we'll have a pretty strong, plenty competitive defense, perhaps a truly excellent defense.

Fingers crossed! It's a very young defense and a very young team. That is not a knock on the team or on Kirby & Company as much as it is a reflection of the state of college football in the free portal transfer NIL world.

    Go, Dawgs!

Not the 1st time the DAWGS have had to replace more than 1 defensive player picked high in the draft..and it won't be the last. I'd rather see 1st and 2nd round picks from UGA, instead of later round picks (as would most people). Myself, I see replacing high nfl draft picks on a yearly basis as being a positive, rather than a negative. It means the coaches, AND players are maximizing their talent, and abilities to the fullest to be successful. If not, replacing average (low draft picks 4th, 5th round) players with equal, or better talent would not be an issue.

Remember this time last year when there were numerous articles about how JJA was working at DE AND OLB? Yet, this year, UGA has a higher ranked DL/OLB prospect who is actually bigger than JJA yet isn't working at DE where he could be 2nd string tomorrow and he is penciled in as 5th string OLB. Makes no sense but I expect that to change quickly once fall practice starts.

Why is Ondre Evans designated 3rd team when he is out for the season?
