Georgia punter Brett Thorson is still recovering from knee surgery he had to repair his ACL and MCL. Thorson picked up the injury in the SEC Championship game win over the Texas Longhorns.

makes no sense to rush Thorson back for the 1st 2 games. Good experience to let the back ups get some game reps in case they need to play late in the year in an important game.
First Downs does not require a punter . So I agree with UGA DAD 20 . Hold him till week 3
