Kirby Smart calls out those who were âwhistling past the graveyardâ with Georgia football

But Tennessee kicker Max Gilbert pushed the kick wide right and sent the game to overtime. Georgia would go on to win 44-41, moving to 3-0 on the season.

Time of possession was massive.
Nice article.
Kirby - of course he does - gets it big time.
My favorite parts here are how classy he is towards Tennessee and his emphasis on the need for constant improvement in his gritty, determined, young, flawed team.
Like most, I believe these Dawgs have huge potential, huge as yet unrealized upside, and the ability to fix most all the problems which were apparent in Knoxville. I believe the Dawgs will play even better as the season goes on. Tennessee may not. Tennessee may have played at their ceiling, but the Dawgs did not.
Go, Dawgs!
Imo...the Dawgs have probably faced the best team they'll see, between now and Texas. On the road!. That's big.
They will indeed get better...and better.…and better. Every week, they add another layer to the cake Kirby's cookin'...Lol. By the time they finish with the SEC.…they'll be ready, willing and able…to make the rest of CFB "eat cake" and like it.
Imo....the Vols' defense is on the same level as UGA, Texas & OSU…and, maybe Oregon. The offense ain't bad, either. But, only 1 or 2 of those 4 or 5 teams can match the Dawgs in depth and talent. And, the Vols ain't one of those. Lol
What I can't figure....is who's private parts, does Penn State's AD have in a vice?....to get ranked that high [#2] in the Polls?.
The Nittany Lions, have done absolutely NOTHING to earn that spot in the Polls. They'll have to this weekend, though. And...the way I see it....when that game is over, the media has some 'splainin' to do. But...they won't. We'll just move on, as if....Lol.
What amazing wins, right?
Go, Dawgs!
Lol....right!? If that was UGA, they would've already dropped 3 or 4 spots in the Polls...just because of that weak-ass schedule.
Oh wait!....They DID drop UGA in the rankings despite WINNING. Just because of the "weak schedule narrative....and the..."they haven't played anybody...so we don't know who they are yet".
The "Fake Media" have gone into an indignant diatribe regarding the Dawg Schedule as early as 2 years ago. With BS comments from the likes of Burpin' Urbin Meyer….and ESPN puppets.
They were dropped in the Polls THIS year....because Marshall & Austin Paey were "weak opponents, the Dawgs had no business playing....much less not humiliating to the max. Who do they think they are, not scoring 70 points? What's up with that...let's drop em 3 spots.".
The thing is....Kirby don't care what the hype is.…till the chips are real. Which didn't occur untill this week.
I would submit....It still hasn't occurred in Pennsylvania....and their Poll position hasn't even been mentioned...much less threatened. Lol
