Georgia football shifts SEC narrative, team to beat because âthose Dawgs can biteâ

ATHENS â Georgia needed exactly one game to shift the narrative in the SEC, proving that while the team might be down this season, itâs certainly not out.
Comments
“This was as peak Georgia as it gets,” ???
They ain’t peaked - not yet.
Amen !! Fully Agree !!
Finebaum is right about one thing, after the Dawgs whip Bama they WILL be sitting pretty!
Sorry, little dose of reality here, but this narrative would be entirely different if Tennessee’s kicker had made that field goal at the end of regulation. Even Smart said he almost felt like he needed to apologize for the win because Tennessee outplayed us in some areas. Yes, the SEC still runs through Georgia, but guess who is good at beating Georgia historically, and very much so recently, our next opponent, coming to Georgia. Dawgs need to play like they did against Tennessee in Athens in 2022, and like they did against Texas in Austin last year- with a collective chip on their shoulder, regardless of any rat poison narratives out there. And just for good measure they could use a Coach Dye motivational moment like in 2002.
@DawgSonOfGamecock
The narrative is not different though. There's "If's" involved in most every close game. If Ellis Robinson had turned his head around he could have at least deflected the pass on Tennessee's second possession. If Daniel Harris had batted the ball down instead of deflecting into the receiver's hand late in the third quarter, Tennessee would not have scored on that play. These examples are doses of reality too.
Disagree. Imo....the narrative would have been about the same, either way. Nobody's Off of Tennessee just cause they dropped a close one to UGA. At home, I might add.
If Tennessee had won it.…the Dawgs would've still gotten mad respect for coming back on the road against "the most explosive team in the SEC". Proving they still have bite.
The Dawgs would've gotten more conciliatory credit for losing on a last second FG....than Tennessee would've gotten for NEEDING a last second FG at Home to close the victory.
Imo....Both Teams will be there in the end. This was a preview of the SEC Championship. LSU will fold in the end. That's just how they do. For some reason, LSU has taken on Notre Dame's old personality. Lol
@Eastmandawg I took "Peak Georgia" to mean, the Bulldogs can win games without playing their best, they find a way — that's what people are saying about Kirby Smart teams, that they keep fighting and find ways to beat you even when they shouldn't
The "ifs" are always there in every game—remember the Arron Murray drive at the end of the Alabama game when the coaching staff wouldn't let him spike the ball and stop the clock —that cost us an Alabama win and a Natty! We need to beat Bama—I'm tired of this cloud hanging over our head—I'm sure y"all are too. GO DAWGS
"My eyes have seen the Glory of the Coming of the Lord.
Glory Glory to Ole Georgia!
Since Kirby Smart’sDawgs are off this week, I’m dipping into the Junkyard Blawg archives with this look at two past posts about “Big Jim” Wilson and Bill Goldberg, a pair of former UGA football players who achieved fame in that combination of athletics and show business known as professional wrestling.

Joel Klatt can bite me.
The common factor between ND, and LSU is the Head Coach. He lost games at ND he had no business losing. Seems that stigma has followed him South..
Pretty sure that was BigDawg’s joke.
Better find a pass rush to take pressure off those defensive backs.
"Lexi33"—Couldn't have said it any better!
