More injuries, more depth issues, more player burn out. They've destroyed the sport.

There is a realistic possibility that the move to 9's ends up with reduced SEC team national championships in perpetuity. Beating the stuffing out of each other 8 games a season already hamstrings the SEC vs several other conferences.

Those conferences that have only a few really great teams (hello ACC and Big Ten) are likely to come in with greater uninjured depth by the time the CFP rolls around... and that's before you consider the money buckets of several non-SEC teams like Miami, Michigan, Oregon, OSU, Texas Tech, and USC 🫤

This will only be temporary. CFB is about to become an NFL style conference-less league. Regional divisions and an expanded playoff model seem inevitable. In the mean time, until NIL is equalized, the SEC will be a league of attrition. Beat yourself up in practice all week THEN play an SEC team on saturday. Not the recipe for season long success.

The NFL allows a maximum of 14 padded, full-contact practices per team during the regular season, with 11 of those occurring within the first 11 weeks and the remaining three in the latter six weeks of the season.
