Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

And this is our lone RB commit? Bobo can't get a decent one? What's up here?
No matter what it’d be Great to have more than one quality RB commit. Have to wait and see what’s the story on Lamar.
Not speculating on the reason why he is no longer with his HS team. Don't know the circumstances, or the situation surrounding this decision. I will however say this, if he brought this on himself, he should suffer the consequences. If its not self inflicted, the truth will come out eventually, and show his, and the true side of the story. Either way, i hope this young man puts this behind him, grows and learns from this..GoDAWGS!
They have three sophomore backs (Bowens, Frazier and Phillips) that are better than decent and a freshman, Bo Walker, who everybody was raving about in Fall camp. UGA will be fine at RB.
Good ridance, Dawgs need to move on from that one, good sources.
Sadly, many of the most outstanding athletes in high school have come from traumatic backgrounds. This. attended by impulse control issues, often creates sad outcomes. Hopefully, there may be obvious pardonable issues here, but if not, I would hope he will find the right kind of support to profit from his mistakes.
Unfortunate for the kid, can’t seem to walk the talk, but I certainly hope he will make better choices moving forward. Side note this is the reason that, sadly, recruiting is no longer as important as it once was, just buy another more mature RB in the portal before next season to fill the gap and possibly contribute right away versus spending a couple of years trying to develop an uber talented 17 year old kid who is trying to find his path in life.
Keep him in the class. From the rumor tree it is that he was heated and passionate from the loss to lowndes and got into an altercation with his teammates. Not that it was an off field incident. Hopefully thats all it is. It isnt great, but it would be an emotional guy who cares about winning or losing. We need him and I hope the best for him and that he can still come in and be a huge part of our success.
Don't give up just yet on this young man…sometimes it takes some life experiences to get you to the place your suppose to be…fall back and regroup…keep moving forward. Go Future Dawgs!!
In the past we have had our issues with troubled young men. Most stayed a short time and were gone. I hope he can straighten out prior to setting foot on campus. We have enough distractions
JS usually is in the know regarding what is happening behind the scenes with recruits. He just can't say what is going on. The fact that he wrote an article on the situation and alluded to UGA possibly looking in other directions is highly revealing.
Sounds like he has a history of "getting into trouble". Hate to see a kid blow a golden opportunity. Doesn't look good.
What happened to RBU? Maybe the RB success UGA is having this season will help RB recruiting in '26 and beyond.
I'd put Ty Cummings in the slot, make a receiver out of him. GOt great speed and elusivness, but rather small.
Coached for over 15 years (in the state of GA) and have seen this too many times. Regardless of how much you want it or how many feel-good stories are written…you can only “out-athlete” adversity and consequences so many times. A harder path (which we sometimes choose) might be in his future. Best of luck young fella.
Agree, we've "5 star talent….mentally, physically and spiritually" that have committed to the quest of becoming DGD's….Let the chips fall for JL…..and I wish him the best…….BUT, there are two young men in the 27 cycle that we need to focus on….#2RB David Gabriel Georges, Baylor School in Chattanooga and #4RB Jerry Beard, right here at Prince Ave in Bogart…they both seem to have all of the "5 star" qualities that make DGD's.
