Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

pavia is gone and he potentially could start as a freshman. At UGA Stockton may come back for one more year and if not, there is still Puglisi and Montgomery with time in the UGA offense.
Ugh. Who in their right mind, just two years ago, would have thought that we would be competing with Vandy for commitments?! Sheesh. You beat Bama one time in 5000 years (not even this season) and all of a sudden you're an offensive phenom.
Yes, I know, I'm being dismissive. I hope you also understand that I'm only partially being serious.
The first two sentences stand, though.
Vandy may put every dime that they have in NIL $$ to get Curtis, no good answer other than hope he's a man of his word
Puglisi seems like the next in line, for sure. It's clear why he's the #2, but I do hope to see him on the field a little more this year.
IDK if Gunner will have gotten enough done this year to move on. He's doing great, so I won't complain either way. I'd love to see how he'd work against the Bummers next year, with most of our D and O-line returning with a LOT more experience.
Honestly, I'd forgotten the name Montgomery.
Curtis has show a lot in high school, but it is high school. Pugs is NOT ready. If Stockton goes down the Dawgs are done. Who knows how it plays out.
They had best save a bundle to get some quality OL depth, you have to protect an investment like that with quality blocking.
If I were a betting man, and I am, I'd bet on that start as freshman sales pitch and a bucket of NIL cash working out pretty good for Vandy…best case scenario Jared would be #3 on the depth chart in athens. Of the Dawgs don't win it all this year I would expect that Gunner would return. At least I hope so.
if I’m Jared I’m visiting every school I can with my teammates. Maybe one of his lesser known teammates catches on at a UConn, BC, Vandy, etc.
Oh my, here we go again! He is a perfect fit for Vandy with early play time, which he will not get a UGA. I could see a flip here for sure.
I don't see a flip, despite the easier path to starting. The very best players have supreme confidence and welcome competition. Plus superior development and shot at championships in Athens. Go Dawgs!
Yawn. And who is “Dawnation”?
Absolutely Nothing at all against Curtis. And it’s not just him. I don’t trust recruits until they officially sign a LOI better yet show up for the first practice as well as having signed a LOI.
Sorry to be so cynical but with NIL you just don’t know that you HAVE them until they have signed and on campus. I hope Curtis sticks to his commitment because he sounds Phenomenal !!
Warning Off Topic !! I’m hoping Kirby and UGA will officially offer Ty Cummings. For two reasons 1) He sounds like he to is a phenom !! 2) And this is sort of selfish on my part he comes from my old HS. West Laurens HS at the booming metropolis of Dexter, Ga. !! Don’t sneeze when you drive through that town or you’ll miss it !! I haven’t lived there since 2008 but it’s still home !! Ty Cummings is helping WLHS to win they are 8-0 and 6-0 in their region so far.
Many documented cases where a big recruit will go with the coach and teammates to help them get opportunities. That is what I see as the most likely given it is so close. From all reporting he seems to be a solid dawg commit. We do live in crazy times though.
He's from there—plays high school football there—I can assure you this is not his first trip to see Vandy play.
Would imagine Gunner will return next year to continue building on this season. He needs more college snaps and he's a redshirt junior. As far as Curtis goes, who knows. But UGA develops QBs for the next level pretty well.
