Just a tough game to watch. So many miscues and missed opportunities. Poor tackling, still no pass rush, Gunner short and overthrew many passes.
I'll keep taking the WIN, but this mode of operation isn't going to work against the best teams. No way.
We didn't really stop the run (115 yards rushing by FL), but we were able to run the ball when it mattered most (139 yards). Frazier, Bowens, Branch, Bell MVPs...2 completions to TEs after using them a lot last week. ???
Resilient, gritty, tough, never quit. I'll take it again....but...
Texas has a BYE week while we play those other Bulldogs. Arch and Texas have improved. We'd better be ready.

Georgia made this game close with mistakes, drops and penalties. It could have been really bad for Florida
I admit it. I had lost my faith. I thought this was it. Our poor play was going to catch up with us. Then we hunker down and stop a 4th and short, drive 82 yards for a TD and then hunker down again (by stopping them on 4th down again). I'll take a win anytime, but this style of play won't work against better teams.
Is it just me or do we need another secondary coach? Go Dawgs!
Hey Bro. I’m NOT trying to be a smart azz. And I actually AGREE with you. So please Remember that as you read. So none of the teams we’ve Already played are deemed as good ? And TX was at one point Waaay ahead of Vandy but won in the closing seconds by 3 points.
I Know close don’t mean a thing but our only loss is by 3 to a as much as I Hate to say it Bama team that has rolled on.
Again I Agree whole heartedly that these Struggling Wins are very difficult to watch and Terrible on my ole cardiac system, but in the end, after it’s all said and done does it really matter as long as there’s a W hanging up there ?
Like you and many others I would think that sooner or later it’s gonna catch up to the Dawgs and their gonna Lose another game. But what if that doesn’t happen ? What if they Keep struggling but Winning every game ?
And on Gunner you ought to come on the game day thread !! That kid catches pure H e l l from folks that are Supposed to be fans !! Gunner can’t do this. Gunner can’t do that. Gunner’s not a good QB. Gunner should be benched. etc. etc. Yet every time He gets the last laugh !!
I Fear the day that we do lose a game and Especially for Gunner !! This site might melt down and Gunner might receive h a t e mail if you catch my drift. Losses are like Wins they are all part of the game. And they Do happen.
I have NO CLUE and anyone being totally honest can only Speculate as to Why these Dawgs struggle so hard. But as You said and I fully agree No Matter What TAKE the Win and ENJOY it.
WE as Dawgs fans say: Well we won but I just don’t know how we’re gonna win the next game vs so and so !! We don’t even pause or should I say paws to Enjoy the Win for worrying about the next game !!

NO sarcasm !! None at all !! But Who are the “ better teams” ? This comment has been being used At Least four games back maybe more. I’m Not trying to be a smart azz I promise. But as u g l y as it’s been we keep getting W’s against every team we play. Except the elephant in the room loss by 3 pts which can as easily be pinned on Kirby as anyone else. You Know or should know I despise giving UF credit for Anything. But they were Very prepared and Very hungry. For much of the game they seemed to want it more than the Dawgs.
Like YOU and most Dawgs fans I to wonder when will this kind of play “ catch up” to them ? But what if it never does ? As very weird as it is what if is the Dawgs strange identity and they keep some how Winning when they by all rights should lose ?
I think it might be wise for us all to do a reset of sorts back to the preseason and Remember what our expectations Were.
The only game So Far now, that we’ve dropped is the one many of us thought was the most likely for us to drop and that’s the one we don’t like to talk about.
Actually as u g l y as they’ve been the Dawgs at THIS point are exceeding expectations strictly in terms of Win/Loss and in the end That’s what matters most.
Heck I don’t know though I SURE Hope not the Dawgs could drop the next game !! But until and hopefully Never that day comes I’d advise my fellow Dawgs fans to savor each Win like a fine steak !! And worry about the loss if and when it ever comes. We’ve already played some pretty good teams !! Go Dawgs !!
This is a good team, but not great and I think that is what drives so many comments about barely winning against inferior teams, etc. Florida has plenty of talent and their defense and offense are loaded with talent and much of it upper classmen so whether it was a 4 point win or 24 point win, it came against what is probably our biggest rival and them coming off a coach getting fired so they were extra fired up. Mississippi state next week will also be delivering their best shot so get ready for more ups and downs.
Stockton seemed to be aiming the ball today - missed wide open Delp and the TD to Thomas really hung for quite a bit of time. Fun thing to watch on the replay of the Thomas TD was how hard Florida bit on the Branch decoy. 3 players went with him and were late on Thomas.
Not sure we will see the dominance of the 21 or 22 teams due to NIL and transfers and I still believe Kirby and his staff are doing a great job this year with very raw players. Talented yes, but still raw.

OFF TOPIC !! But as we have to play them later it’s of Some importance. GT is down 21-17 with just over two minutes left to Unranked NC St. I kind of imagine GT will come back and win it, but see our Dawgs ain’t the only ones to struggle !! Oh and TX had Vandy down Huge at one point But only won by 3 pts in the closing seconds. Allot of Horns fans were shaky and smiling with relief as they pulled that one out At Home. It’s just CFB !! 😀
