Not sure how anyone can not root for Stockton. What a great story and you can definitely tell he brings an extra spark to the offense. Delp said it perfectly, guys play hard for him because they know he is playing hard for them and no one else. Love the guy and really hope he is at his best this Saturday night. Go Gunner and Go DAWGS!

Great story overcoming all the media and "FAN" naysayers to become a leader of this team. Same with Bobo and his haters. Those few FANS should move on.

I’ve said all along, I’ll take that F-150 vs that Lambo every time. Kid is a leader and has been since his high school days. No show dogs on this team, just a bunch of huntin dogs. For all those naysayers and critics of Mike Bobo, he’s been outstanding. This team has been one of my favorites in the 60 years I’ve been following em.

"He’s only gotten better since and forced his way into the national conversation. He’s gone from a good story to a great player."

It amazes me how much these players (especially quarterbacks) improve once they start getting consistent playing time and more reps with the first team. Gunner is still as talented as ever, but now has the experience and maturity to lead one of the best teams in college football. Add to that the fact that he has wanted this since he was a child and there is no other quarterback in CFB that I would rather have!

    GO DAWGS!

There were those who doubted Gunner time and time again, wanting the backup to start ( we've heard this story before). He's proven he 'was' and 'is' the guy to lead this team. As far as the Bobo haters they seemed to have disappeared. For now.

Shout out to @navydawg who has probably been Stockton's staunchest supporter even when others were taking shots at him. Hope you are feeling better.

Well said. Couldn't have said it better, myself. Guys like Stockton and Bennett, persevere in Kirby's system...cause, they keep their nose down below "the noise" and put in work.

Character, Vision, Intelligence & Drive.…MUST's for any "Leader"....particularly a quarterback.

IMO....The "talent" part is a given, if you play for a team like UGA or Bama or OSU. It's the "heart, mind & body", that need to be shaped. God, already provided the talent part.

As far as I'm concerned....nobody puts more of a premium on "Character" & "Development", than CKS's Program. It's necessary....to get through the training regimen.

He did it at Bama, too.....But, Saban held him and Kiffin back some....Lol. Look at em now....flyin' on their own! Lol.…Nickie must be so proud. of his baby boys.
