Georgia knows what to expect with Georgia Tech: âItâs going to be a warâ
The next opponent for Georgia will be much better and much more fit of giving Georgia a game, as the Bulldogs travel to Atlanta to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Comments
This Friday will be GT's Super Bowl and they will be all in on beating us despite their disappointing loss to Pitt, that's the way it should be in a rivalry game, Go Dawgs!
I say the DAWGS hold on to that win streak in Atlanta this Friday..GoDAWGS!
I think the game will be similar to the Ole Miss game, in that we should be able to move on them with success. There defense is pretty poor. For our defense, we need to make them one dimensional, and with the way our rush defense has been, I think we can do that. They do have some pretty dynamic receivers so it will be the same story. We need pressure on King and good secondary play.
Tech looked awful last night—Dawgs win by 21
Obviously, any football game can go any of two ways. However, Georgia Tech had to battle hard until the end of the game last night against Pitt and their starting units were exhausted while the Dawgs starters will be better rested. In addition, Tech does not have the depth we have established this year. They were taken to the wire by Wake Forest and Boston College and lost to a mediocre NC State team.
Coaching wise, huge edge for our Dawgs. Talent wise, again huge advantage Dawgs!
Emotionally, Tech is probably a wreck (excuse the pun, couldn’t help myself 🤣) today and I feel this will have a lingering effect in this weeks practice. Their ACCCG hopes are gone, any chance of being in the playoffs are gone and physically and emotionally, they are pretty beat down right now. Pitt played a very physical game last night, especially on defense.
Of the two ways it can go, I expect the Dawgs depth, mental preparedness for COFH and our physical style of play to take us to 11-1 for the regular season.
I expect us to wear them down and dominate by the time 4th rolls around, much like against Texas. My prediction: Dawgs 42 - Gnats 20. Go Dawgs!! Wreck Trch!
I had high hopes for the tech game, but the nats stink. Not only do we have to beat them, but we must do it convincingly for the playoff committee.
They made a mistake moving the game from their dump of a stadium to MBS. There will be more Dawgs fans than their tacky dressed fans. Based on how each team has played vs their competition, this shouldn’t even be close for Georgia. However, their number one goal is to beat Georgia. The Dawgs can’t have silly drive stopping penalties or ones that keep theirs going. No turnovers and force them to make some. Kirby needs a spy for their qb. We can’t let him get into a rhythm. Start fast in all 3 phases and keep chopping! Gotta match their longest streak in the series with 8 straight wins. Go Dawgs! Wreck tech!
Tech will be out for revenge against us for last season and for their loss against Pitt yesterday. They are also most likely out of the playoffs. Just hoping the Bee's defense stays underwhelming for another game and that we can produce an effective run game. Honestly, this sets up to be our toughest game of the season, but we are playing our best and Tech isn't.
Get ready for Good Old Fashioned Hate Week!!
GO DAWGS!!
Unfortunately the Dawgs won't know about the SECCG when this game is played. Kirby needs to play it as though they are in that game. Not mess around and let the starters on defense be on the field for 12 minutes in the 4th qtr, just to win by 4. Their exhaustion will be why they lose the SECCG, just like in 2018, 2021. Stop trying to keep the game close and put it away early. Unless bama plays them in the SECCG, the sec and skankey will not let bama lose a 3rd game.
watched tech last night. They have no defense but they can score ifvyou let them. Hopefully we learned a lesson last year
The Techsters will be sky high for this game. We are their conference championship and Super Bowl rolled into one. This team can be dangerous—we must be ready for the task—never underestimate your opponent—GO DAWGS
Tech's defense looked really bad in the first half but in the 2nd half they became more aggressive and actually shut Pitt down except for the 56 yd TD run. Tech had 6 sacks, most coming in the 2nd half. They held Pitt to 10 yds offense in the 3rd quarter and 96 yds in the 4th. Take away the 56 yd TD run and Pitt only had 50 total yards in the 2nd half.
