You’re danged right I want the SEC Championship. Winning the title in the grind of the toughest conference in the land versus a “one and done” tournament is way more impressive to me.

I know we have benefitted from the missed field goal, which is part of the game, but resiliency in the SEC is the mark of a strong team. Win that and you are the best.

ok… why would anyone feel sorry for Lane? Actually he only had one messy exit and that was Tennessee. He was basically fired from the Raiders and USC and Saban canned him before the natty game.

Not a Lane Kiffin fan but …

"Messy exits are what Kiffin specializes in. Look at what happened with the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Volunteers, USC Trojans, Alabama Crimson Tide and now Ole Miss Rebels."

Kiffin was mistreated by Al Davis and the Raiders, though they never should have hired him in the first place. The USC Trojans thing was a regular firing. It would have been interesting to see how Kiffin would have fared there if not for the Reggie Bush sanctions. Plus Steve Sarkisian and now Lincoln Riley did no better at USC than Kiffin did. The Bama people who gripe over Kiffin tend to ignore how their beloved Nick Saban left Michigan State, LSU and the Miami Dolphins in the lurch, how he very nearly left Bama for a massive pot of money at Texas and his abrupt "retirement" from Bama in a tantrum over college players getting the same financial benefits and freedom of movement from the game that he has been very mercenary at taking advantage of.

"Of course, Brian Kelly accomplished a lot more at Notre Dame and Cincinnati than Kiffin has "

Kelly inherited one of the most successful mid-major programs in the country in Cincinnati. Other coaches have replicated his success there since. ND's success under Kelly was due to their making their scheduling easier and lowering their academic requirements for athletes. Kelly rarely won big games against elite competition. His successor won more such games in their playoff run last year than Kelly did in his entire career, including a victory over the UGA team that Kelly was winless against (at both ND and LSU).

Loser..Lane Kiffin, how is that so? I dont remember seeing kiffing standing on either sideline at the UGA/gt game, or calling plays.

let it be known that from the beginning I would rather have the three weeks off to get healed up….

But….. if we could beat bama and send them outta the playoff with a loss to us, that’d be worth it

Loser is a mild term, considering how lane handled the situation. Pay me over 12 million a year and you can call me anything you want lol

SInce when did coaching a football team become a marriage? I don't necessairly like him or hate him, I don't know much about the man except that he seems to have clue about coaching football. He certainly has made Ole Miss relevant again, has he not? They've tasted some success they've not tasted in decades. They can hold ther heads up now with pride.

He's put butts in seats, and made Ole Miss football a thing. THey are a much better program for him being there. He leaves them in good shape. Most of us would change jobs in a heart beat if it meant doing the same thing and earning say twice as much, somewhere else , oh, and it meant you could accomplish your dreams( a little more easily) of say winning multiple NC's, if that's your desire.

DId anyone really believe LK would finish out his career at OLe MIss? Does anyone believe he will finnish his career at LSU?

From everything I'm hearing he wants to coach his team throught the playoffs. BUt the butthurt AD at Ole Miss (last I heard) was saying no to that. He'd apparently would rather try to win without him as if to say, "see we don't need you anyway. " we won without you. And He's willing to lose without LK to prove some kind of point. He should think of the players and the fans. Maybe he is.

About Lane, he chose a better program and better money. Ole Miss chose to not allow him to finish the season. Bama let Kirby finish the season in 2015. How is any of this Kiffin's fault?

If he is the new HC for another team already, he SHOULD NOT be allowed to coach Ole miss again. He brought this upon himself with how he handled the situation, so i feel 0% sympathy for him. He wants the best of both worlds, more money at another school but yet wants to remain the HC at his old school..typical clown kiffin. If he truly wanted to coach Ole miss through the playoffs, he would've stayed, cant say i blame the AD for his decision. He basically quit on everybody at Ole miss, same as Spurrier did at SC. But kiffin wanted the whole cake, and eat all of it too. So..a plane from lsu is on the tarmac waiting for you, and we have a playoff game to prepare for. Have a nice flight, and enjoy watching the game on tv..

And some experts are painting kiffin as the victim here..they must be related, and trying to stay on his good side lol (if he actually has a good side). He will make over 12mil a year at lsu, but he's the victim here according to some 🙄

In what world do you get a six year contract for 12 million per year and are a loser Conner?

@KBP..unlike lane, Kirby wasnt the HC at alabama either. AD made a decision same as Saban did with Kirby. Saban just had more power, and say so at Bama than the AD did to make that call, Kiffin didn't have that luxury at Ole miss. I dont blame kiffin for taking the job, more money, better chance of winning a NC, its just the way he handled the whole situation by stringing along his staff, fans, players, and school for weeks now. Kiffin got exactly what he wanted from it, attention lol people that have never watched an Ole Miss football game now know who he is after this circus.
