“As of this evening Georgia has the No. 6-ranked recruiting class for the 2026 recruiting cycle. Should Georgia finish there, it would tie the 2016 class for the lowest-ranked recruiting class that Smart has signed”
Connor, Connor, Connor…always the NationalEnquirer’esque drama queen you be. Can we have a little context here please? Let’s evaluate this class from a blue chip ratio standpoint, shall we, instead of just throwing out some random meaningless out of context data point to support your craving desire to become a sensationalism journalist in your next life…here we go:
2016 90.7 per player avg 1 P total team ranking points 281.31 w/ (14) 4/5star bluechippers
2026 91.79 per player avg. 2 P/Ks total team ranking points 294.43 w/ (23) 4/5* bluechip players
For context here are the blue chip recruit numbers between your two cherry picked data points…2017 (20) 2018 (22) 2019 (21) 2020 (19) 2021 (16) 2022 (22) 2023 (22) 2024 (24) 2025 (25)
For those keeping score at home, CONNOR…this class ranks 3rd ALL TIME in number of BLUE CHIP athletes signed in any 1 season under Kirby Smart. OH, and a little more drama for the drama queen reporter, in kicker recruiting rankings the two kickers Kirby signed would bring that blue chip count up to (25) this year, tying the record Kirby signed last year. So before you decide to stoke unfounded fear of demise in the Kirby era recruiting machine, do try to do a little more research old chap. Research is what turns hack reporters into darn good reporters. Cheers ol chap.
Connor is a special breed, indeed…bless his heart.
On3 Rivals ranks UGA's class #4 even without Curtis.
247Sports Composite has UGA ranked #5 now.
Doubt Conner reads the comments.
247 Sports reports that Justice Fitzpatrick did sign with UGA last night. Just hasn't been updated here.
Amazing that we are atill getting the best TE recruits now that we've stopped throwing to them as much.
I’m Not trying to pick on them but it’s right here in print, two of our commits having legal issues make me a little nervous over them. Also the RB had some sort of “issues” that caused him to have to sit out two games and they weren’t medical. It boils down just Trust Kirby and I Do trust him. I just hope these young men don’t let him and the team down later on. We’ll see……….
Navy, Lamar may never even make it out of Moultrie.
I wouldn't count on him in Athens.
Hopefully but.........…
Sure he does, he's the "down voter".
He wants to be a HC, love his "Winners and Losers" gig. He's auditioning, coaching pays better.
I believe you as I Trust you. I always appreciate your comments as they are good content and reasonable. I consider you a Friend and I’m ultra blessed that I have so many Great friends here.
Are you willing to elaborate on Why you feel that way about the kid from Colquitt ? The reason I say “ willing” is different people react in different ways about info. on Current players and Incoming players. If it’s one of those “rather not say” type things I understand. And I won’t feel snubbed.
I’m wondering what the hold up is on the punter from Trinity Christian out of Dublin ? I don’t know him personally but his last name is common to the area. I was raised in Laurens County but was gone after I went in the military in late 75. Came back there later and lived from 1999 -2009 then left again. But I try to keep up with the goings on there as I still have family there.
I haven’t checked since mid-day yesterday but so far my man Ty Cummings had Not signed with GSU. What I’m hoping is he’ll have a banner game vs Jefferson tomorrow night and maybe prick Kirby’s ears. Ty could wait until Traditional Signing Day to see what happens. I’m rooting hard for my ole HS but making sure not to get my hopes up to high that Jefferson is a powerhouse, why they are #1 in AAA ball in Ga. !! West Laurens is #4 allot on the back of Ty. He’s got the “It” factor !! He’d be a weapon on Kick and Punt returns !!
@dazzledawg Well just checked and Ty did sign with GSU today . If they have a pretty decent O Line he will make some noise for the Eagles and as I said on Kick returns and Punt returns as well. Just want meant to be at this time. Hope he shows out Big tomorrow night !!
Awesome to get confirmation on Fitzpatrick - huge pickup!! With Marquese likely jumping ship, look for UGA to likely amp up pursuit of Tyren Horne (formerly Wortham), who nearly committed to us earlier in cycle around time Dandridge committed. Coley supposedly is very high on this recruit and would have already been in our class had Marquese bailed back in June. He will be announcing January 3rd at the All-American game and UGA is a finalist. UGA still will likely pursue in the portal for receivers and attempt to replenish Marquese's Z spot the way they did a couple of years ago with London Humphreys.
