Branch has taken on an elevated role in the Georgia defense after Kyron Jones suffered a foot injury. Jones has already been ruled out for the SEC championship game. He has not played since Georgiaâs win over Auburn.

Off topic but I just read where Buster Faulkner is going to UF.
And Brad White from Kentucky as DC. Both are really good at what they do, they should make Florida a much improved team, and a more competitive team going forward. Anything has to be an improvement over Napier lol, who by the way, was hired by James Madison and given a 5 year contract to be the head coach lol
I guess the Bees couldn't spare any of that 10 mil they got for playing in the Benz (a l arge chunk of that from tickets sales to Dog fans) to keep Faulkner. His hiring at UF is directly pointed at UGA. It will be interesting to see what he does with Lagway.
It has been reported that Tech matched Florida’s offer but he chose to go to Florida. I think he wants to build an SEC resume plus he was commuting everyday to Atlanta from outside Athens as I understand it. I believe being settled in a more at home environment played a part as well. Additionally, Tech plays a much tougher ACC schedule (eye roll) next year as Haynes King and several key players are gone. And yeah, I’d choose Florida over Tech every time. Tech is back to irrelevant more than likely next year. Go Dawgs!
This Branch injury is concerning. This means that #20 has to get more game reps. There are (at least) 2 ways to succeed vs the UGA DB's. 1) take advantage of the 8-10 yard cushion that Daylen Everette gives up on most plays. 2) run plays vs a generally predictable UGA pass coverage that isolates #20 in coverage. He is more of a run support DB who is very weak in coverage for a S. If you can isolate #20 in coverage you can play pitch and catch. Which is what AL did in the 1st game vs UGA.
And Not 1 article mentioning a so called advantage for Florida, as they did when Muschamp was hired by Texas as DC..
