Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans

- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Georgia football unsung hero Beau Gardner wins national award
Georgia football unsung hero Beau Gardner wins national award
Georgiaâs Beau Gardner is doing his best work when no one takes notice of his long-snapping performances, but on Saturday he received the right kind of attention.

Interesting pearl is the Patrick Mannelly Award is named after a local Atlanta player from Marist, Duke and the NFL. Very cool that we’ve already won 2 “special teams” awards. Go Dawgs beat Ole Miss or Tulane!!!
Being a long-snapper is an under appreciated position. Beau has been flawless. Well deserved award.
January 1st.…seems like an eternity. Lol
Congratulations, Mr. Gardner. Outstanding!
Congratulations to that young man!
Coach Dooley always said it was important to have a good “long snappuh”!
Go Dawgs!
Wow, just Wow!! Amazing honor for him and the others. These guys are the hidden stats that win close games.
Congratulations.
It's a generally overlooked important position. Long snappers lose the game sometimes. Really good long snappers sometimes create turnovers.
Go, Dawgs!
Go Dawgs!
Congrats to Beau Gardner for an Excellent job in an under appreciated position !! Go Dawgs !!
Congrats to Beau Gardner and Brett Thorson. Peyton Woodring has been pretty automatic too. Special teams is not a worry for UGA football thankfully.
Congrats to him and the whole team, and especially the outstanding play of the often overlooked special team guys! On a quick other note, any idea why the writers aren’t talking about the Men’s Basketball team? They’re quietly 9-1 and just beat Cincinnati last night. Looking good so far this year. Would love to read more about them too!
Yeah...I've been watching them. They're gonna have one helluva bench to close games out, this year.
Mike White has those guys playing in sync. Not as many sloppy turnovers or missed layups.
And, watch out for Blue Cane. Another Larry Bird. Lol
The Dawgs are gonna be a tough "Out" for anybody...imo. Probably gonna be in the top 25 soon, too.
Go Dawgs!!!
Congratulations Beau!
